1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Motivated Naval Architect with 6+ years experience. Long track record of projects. Willing to coordinate naval architects and to manage projects.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

From 2002 up to date I've been working in TECNOMARE, the lead engineering Company of the ENI group (the italian Oil Company). TECNOMARE activities cover every phase of the life-cycle of upstream plants, from feasibility studies to construction and from start-up to decommissioning.

In the following, a presentation of some of the projects followed is given including the performed activities. Latest projects are at the end. Since project information are confidential, only general references are given:

1- Concept definition of a FPSO for the offshore Mauritania
Frequency domain analysis of a FPSO in waves, wind and current to size the mooring lines and the most suitable pattern for the station keeping of the vessel in 800m water depth.

2- Concept selection of a FPSO for the deep water offshore Brasil
Hull definition, hydrodinamic analysis and definition of mooring system for a FPSO in 1800m water depth offshore Brasil. Review and reanalysis of the environmental conditions. Statistical analysis of irregular waves, Fourier analysis, wave spectra, spectral moments, analysis of time series, histograms, probability density function, cumulative distribution function. Calculation of extreme values of wave, wind and current. Time domain mooring analysis on three different concepts, i.e. spread, turret and compliant-type (DICAS) allowing partial weathervaning. Comparison between chain-wire-chain lines and polyester lines has also been performed. Preliminary analysis of riser system.

3-Model test of an icebreaker shuttle tanker
Participation in model tests at HSVA facilities (Hamburg) to evaluate ice forces acting on an innovative fluid transfer system connected to a subsea loading terminal. Setup of the experiment, review and reanalysis of the data.

4- Basic design of a FPSO in the Mediterranean Sea
Design of a 9 legs turret mooring system for a FPSO. Identification of the offloading equipment suitable for export in tandem and downtime analysis due to bad weather.

5- Upgrade of an oil terminal in Egypt
Mooring analysis of a 300,000 DWT tanker with 4 legs with intermediate buoys. Technical specification for the supply of mooring tails. Definition of the minimum requirements to be met for the supply of fibre ropes, to be utilised as mooring tails for the fibre rope connecting the mooring buoys to the tanker's fairleads.

6- Detailed engineering for the development of offshore field in the Caspian Sea.
Due to the length of this project (from 2004 to 2008) several activities have been carried out.
From the analysis point of view, I've dealt with all aspects of transportation and installation of floating barges, including:
a) intact and damaged stability including definition of ballast plan for all the phases of the operation;
b) longitudinal strength;
c) tug requirements;
d) identification of maximum sea state allowed for barge transportation to avoid grounding and green water phenomena;
e) identification of maximum sea state for the lifting of floating barges;
For these works, I've developed ad hoc dynamic calculation procedures.
I've been responsible for the execution of a boat impact study to quantify the hazard of collision between supply vessels and fixed structures providing the impact frequencies and collision energy.
I've been involved in the design of the floating pontoon for the mooring of the Evacuation Vessels supporting HSE to guarantee the maximum safety (design of access gangways, quick release mooring systems, mooring/demooring procedures for the Evacuation vessels, interface with fender supplier for the design and procurement of DONUT type fender).
In the last two years, I've been working as lead engineer for the naval activities on floating barges and skidded piperacks and manifold. On behalf of Client, I've assisted the Installation Contractor during the offshore works to check conformity of the installation operation with the procedure identified in the engineering documentation. Actually I'm the responsible for all the naval technical documentation and approval by Marine Warranty Surveyor as well as TECNOMARE reference for all naval aspects. I'm also the responsible for theplanning of the naval engineering activities for the project as well as for the quality assurance of the produced deliverables.

7- Towing and Installation of riser and j-tube for an offshore platform in Egypt
Responsible for the towing and upending analysis for riser and j-tubes. Calculation of stresses on pipes during operations and definition of requirement for the crane barge.

8- Offshore Regasification Project
Responsible for the naval engineering activities on the development of an offshore terminal for the mooring of LNG tankers.
Detailed review of environmental data and implenetation of a persistence model to calculate duration of wind and wave conditions over specified thresholds. Definition of loads on the mooring lines, dolpins, fenders and identification of environmental limits to allow connection and offloading of LNG according to the loading arm working envelope. Availability analysis to define uptime of the terminal.

9- Concept selection and ITT documentation for a FPSO offshore Angola
Preparation of FPSO functional specifications and Scope of Work for FPSO Contractor for a fast-track project offshore Angola

10- Concept selection and ITT documentation for a FPSO offshore Australia
Preparation of FPSO functional specifications and Scope of Work for FPSO Contractor for a fast-track project offshore Australia
