I am young, keen and enthusiastic. I am looking for a new and challenging career in the Oil and Gas industry.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

I have over 8 years Communicator/Radio Operator/Seaman Specialist experience in the Royal Navy. As a Leading Hand I have been heavily relied on for both my expert knowledge and my leadership skills.

I have served on several platforms in varying roles. I have served in challenging operational environments and a large percentage of my time in the RN has been spent at sea.


3. Education & Training - CV/Resume Part 3 [Mandatory]

I hold a full GMDSS licence (including the VHF Short Range Licence). I have practical experience of the full range of GMDSS equipment as the subject matter expert on watch in RN Warships in Operational environments.

I am a RYA level 2 qualified powerboat cox’n and have hundreds of hours experience driving RN seaboats in varied and challenging conditions.

I am a qualified Leading Hand and hold a Institue of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 2 certificate. As a leading hand I have undertaken continuous training and have been involved in the supervision and training of subordinates.

I hold an NVQ level 2 Engineering and Maintenance qualification.

In my role as a Seaman Specialist I have expertise in damage control at sea, first aid, sea survival equipment maintenance, fire fighting, and I hold my deck hand certificate.

I am Helicopter dunker trained


4. Computer Skills - CV/Resume Part 4 [Mandatory]
In my role as a Communicator in the RN it was imperative that I had a sound knowledge of various IT systems. I am proficient in the full MS Office suite, various specially designed message handling systems (including various email clients), and a good understanding of MS Windows.

I am a touch typer and find it relatively easy to learn new software packages and systems.
5. Other Skills - CV/Resume Part 5 [Optional]
Secure satellite communications, Secure and insecure HF (voice/data) communications, Secure and insecure UHF (voice) communications. My role as a communicator required me to have a full understanding of how theses communications worked are set up, and to conduct the setting up of theses communications. I am required to know Morse code and understand International Code of Signals.
Ropes and wires, to be able to conduct Splicing, bends and hitches off all nature, industrial sewing and repair by hand and machine, anchors and cables both matinence and operation, safe execution of hoisting and lowering of sea boats at sea, requirements for towing at sea from seaman ship aspect. The safe keeping of explosives.
