I am looking for work in the offshore catering sector. I have over 12 years on-shore catering experience and I am very experienced in contract catering environments and catering for large volumes.

Moved from Norwood Hall to take on the opportunity to be part of the opening team at this exciting new venture in Aberdeen city center.
Responsible for budget and stock control, menu planning as well as cooking within this busy restaurant and taking overall control of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Moved to Norwood Hall to work after my head chef at the Palm Court moved on. Started off as a temporary assignment but then was kept on a full-time contract. Main responsibilities included the ordering and preparing of food for delegate lunches and functions for up to 250 covers. I also had to cover shifts within their award winning restaurant.

Took responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the head chef. Worked alongside the head chef in the development of the menu, stock control and kitchen management.

Gained a wealth of experience working here learning how to deal with large amounts of covers whilst still being able to maintain a very high standard of food.
Main duties were to work within teams of chefs to prepare food to the correct spec and on time.
Left here to work with the new head chef at the Palm Court.

Had a serious accident that required surgery on my left hand and that required time off work to regain the proper functions of my hand.

Trained as a chef in this busy bar and restaurant and progressed through the kitchen well until I was Head Chef. Faced many challenges within this busy and demanding kitchen. It was here that I gained my formal catering qualifications.
Made several appearances on Radio 4’s food programme as well as winning the regional heat for London and the South East for Scottish and Newcastle Chef of the Year competition in 1999.
I briefly went to Manchester and Leicester with the same company before an accident cut short my development within this company.

I would consider myself to be a good all round chef with a wealth of experience, from fine dining through to high volume operations. Before settling into catering I traveled and worked within seasonal jobs and done some studying. I have traveled extensively in North America, Continental Europe and North Africa.
