My name is Josh and I am very keen to work in the offshore oil industry. I am willing to start at the bottom and work my way up within your organization. I am therefore writing with interest seeking a potential position as a Motorman, or Roustabout, on an offshore rig.
Trade qualified in Certificate IV in Marine Technician- Mechanical Trade, I have 10 years experience as a Marine Technician in the Royal Australian Navy. During my time in the Navy I have gathered technical knowledge and practical skills in maintenance, defect rectification and fault finding which I believe I can apply in the oil and gas industry. My ten years in the Australian Defence Force, has provided me with varied and comprehensive experience; including initial technical training and two years in workshops, as part of team, conducting maintenance support to ships. I have also spent six years at sea conducting engine room maintenance, fuelling operations, bulk liquids transfer and management, and auxiliary machinery maintenance.
