I am a fully qualified electrician and I have just passed my level 1 IRATA total access course, I love working to deadlines and seeing the achievements at the end of each job. Since the age of 17 I have been working on all aspects of the electrical industry. They say you’re only as good as your last job and I make sure that my work speaks for itself. I have a clean driving license and I haven’t got a criminal record.

From March 2002 – October 2004
JEL Jervis electrical ltd: I started my apprenticeship in March 2002, when I was working for JEL we covered all types of electrical installations i.e – industrial
JEL was the main contractors to the wholesalers MAKRO, we installed and re-furbished most of the buildings they owned, we also did shop fits for Ladbrokes and Stanley bookies. When working for JEL, I was put with the quality supervisor where I was testing a lot of properties, my knowledge for testing had stated with them. I left the company because I thought I was given a better opportunity for my apprenticeship.
October 2004 – November 2005
West Electrical: I worked at West electrical for just over a year, I worked mainly on caravan sites pulling in the mains cable to different parts of the site, I also used to connect and put the mains up to individual ‘huck up’ points, each caravan was supplied on a 16a MCB, digital meter and RCD. I also wired up 5 barn conversions and one 6x bedroom mansion. The reason for leaving was poor communication between the bosses, which drove me, and 2 more people to leave.
November 2005 – October 2006
K & K electrics: When working for K & K electrics I worked on Industrial and domestic, the industrial installation was in Newton le willows, it was called Starbank Panel Products. We expanded the warehouse by quarter of its size, in this installation we wired up a lot of machinery using armored cable, we also put in a finger print door entry system. On the domestic installations we re-wired a full story flat block with video entry systems. The company didn’t have enough work for me to carry
October 2006 – May 2007
Rigbys Electrical: I worked at Rigbys covering again all aspects, we wired a house worth around 3 million from start to finish I also wired 3 bed sits around the Manchester with 30+ rooms in each also wiring the emergency lighting in each. I then carried on working on a few more other big jobs but there’s to many to list.. The reason I left is that I became qualified whilst working for Rigbys and I thought id like to work elsewhere around the country on other big jobs and to gain more experience.
May 2007 - August 2007
I went and worked for a family business, whilst working for David Cronshaw and son, me and an apprentice wired six office unit, and all car park lighting. They were all sold with a value of £300,000 each. The main work that they covered was domestic and commercial with a little industrial. I decided to leave so i could become a sub contractor.
August 2007 - October 2007
I have been working on the Marks and Spencers in Southport, re-wiring the store. Bms.

I worked at Calder stones hospital first fix and second fix on a new installation. the building was an extention for a more secure building with better equipment for the residents and more space for more people. Bms

I am currently working on a new build hotel in Southport, it covers all aspects from metal trunking using singles to pulling in and connecting armored cables. The job is coming to an end.I like to make sure I stick the job to the end to make sure that the is achieved to the highest level. I would like to take my career into the oil rig industry which I have been waiting for since I was 17 and building up my knowledge so I can help towards making the industry the best it can be. I'm 23 but sensible up for my age and I have very high standards for my work.
