I am currently working on the North Sea Producer in the maculloch field as a plater. I am part of a team of 7 currently based on the NSP carrying out general maintenance and shut down work. The work has included replacing corroded sections of heavy wall pipe work (2”, 10” 12” and 16”). As well as pressure testing coded welding rigging and plating.
Enterprise Engineering Services Ltd Site SupervisorExtensive experience of working on various sites throughout Scotland. Between 1999 and 2005 whilst at Enterprise Engineering I was based at BPB Davidson’s Paper Mill. My main duties included pipefitting, fabrication, sheet metal work, ducting work and basic mechanical fitting work (changing valves, fitting motor bases etc). For the last year of my time at the paper mill I was promoted to the position of supervisor, which in addition to the skills detailed previously, required management activities and a degree of computer literacy.After the paper mill closed in 2005 I was then moved within Enterprise into the hydropower sector and have been a Site Supervisor in this area for three years. This involves being in charge of a small squad of operatives at various power stations and dams throughout Scotland executing fabrication, pipefitting, mig tig stick welding and some mechanical fitting including removal and re-installation of dam gates, winches and various large valves. In addition I have Site Supervision experience for Enterprise at Cruden Bay oil terminal again running operations for various fabrication works. All the sites require me to work under different permit to work systems.

The following 2 years were spent specializing in fabrication and welding at the Bridge of Don Fabrication Shop whilst still attending Angus Technical College on day release. After 3 years my position was made redundant due to the closure of the Fabrication Shop.
