• Encourages employees to participate in safety goals through continual communication, close observation, and committee work- to recognize people for exceptional safety efforts and present safety awards.
• Assist and advise the man-in-charge at the scene in case of emergency. Check the availability of the safety/emergency equipment. Provide reports on situations existing at the time of such incidents and present comments on causes and possible remedies.
• Investigates all industrial and non-industrial incidents and accidents involving personnel, plant and equipment including dangerous occurrences. Analyses causes, determines future action to reduce these occurrences, prepares and maintains statistical records of all incidents. Reviews periodic reports of incident / accident and near miss incidents, highlighting and analysing problem areas and recommending preventive measures.
• Generate & circulate weekly, monthly safety performance reports, to corporate office and KOC.HSE and the staff for increasing safety awareness.
• Prepare detailed lists of foreseeable safety requirements for operational needs, for incorporation in to the budget for operating expenses and man power, maintains adequate stocks of Health, Safety and Environment equipment, clothing, consumables, spare parts and additional safety appliances and equipment, prepare purchase requisitions for the replenishment of existing stock or other special requirements.
• Ensure that all procedural data pertaining to hazardous substances (MSDS) are available and that necessary precautions observed when transporting, storing and handling.
• Ensures that the proper record for inspection / maintenance and testing of all safety, fire and life saving equipment / systems are maintained and readily available.
• Promote waste management program to collect, store, transport and disposal of wastes on sites in accordance with KOC's hazardous / non-hazardous waste management program..

• To ensure Compliance of Saudi Aramco and Technip, Italy Construction Safety Regulations and Loss Prevention Program to prevent personnel injury, safeguard the property and protect from environmental damage.
• To participate in weekly safety and project review meeting, with Technip Italy and Saudi Aramco Project Management Team.
• To carry out Hazard Identification Plan (HIP) and Job Hazard Analysis (JSA) before carrying out to all critical jobs.
• To impart Safety Induction Program to all new entrants and the personnel who transferred from others sites.
• To conduct in-house Safety Awareness training programme for the employees including management staff and workers.
• To impart periodical refresher safety orientation to all electricians, welders, instrument technicians, fire watches, crane operators, riggers on fortnightly basis.
• To conduct weekly safety tool box talk to all employees in the presence of Project Manager and client's safety representatives on Saturdays.
