With reference to title above, I would like to submit a general application for the position of Mechanical Engineer for your consideration. Please find enclosed a copy of my resume stating my working experience, academic qualifications as well as extra curricular activities which I have participated in.
At the moment I am currently employed with Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd undertaking the construction of CP 21 Catering Facility for the New Doha International Airport (NDIA). My roles and responsibilities in the company is to oversee the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services for both aspect of the project; which are divided into the permanent facility and temporary facility, and also to facilitate the construction of the said items by coordinating on the design aspect as well as the construction aspect of the works . During the tenure with the company, not only have I developed a good base in the design and construction area, but also in managerial aspect as well.
Being able to complete my studies overseas, as well as working in Doha, Qatar under Overseas Bechtel Incorporated (OBI) has enable me not only to understand local working culture, but also experienced a greater understanding of the international working culture as well. I feel that with my experienced working in an international project, whilst having a solid technical and managerial base; will enable me to be the driving force behind the company which will propel the company towards the top.
Although at the moment I am currently stationed in Doha, Qatar, I am available for an interview at any time should any opportunities which coincide to my experience and technical capabilities arises.

NDIA CP 21 Catering Facility – Engineer’s Office
Construction of the Engineer’s Office for Overseas Bechtel Incorporated (OBI)
• Oversee the design of the plumbing, sewerage and fire fighting systems for the extension of OBI’s Engineer’s
Office worth QR 1 Million which will accommodate over 150 OBI staff.
• To liaise with the client (OBI) with regards to the requirements (i.e. equipments and facilities) of the said
office.
• Develop the working Method Statement for the above systems to be used by the company for the
construction of the facility.
NDIA CP 21 Catering Facility – Contractor’s Office
Construction of the Contractor’s Office for Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd
• Functioned as the Project Engineer for the construction of Muhibbah Engineering Contractor’s Office worth QR
4.5 Million which will accommodate 250 personnel.
• Coordinate with the subcontractor and the consultants on the overall planning and designing of the
Contractor’s Office.
• Oversea the design of the plumbing, sewerage, HVAC and fire fighting systems which will be incorporated in
the Contractor’s Office.
• Develop the working Method Statement for the above systems to be used by the company for the
construction of the facility.
NDIA CP 21 Catering Facility – Labour Camp
Construction of the Labour Camp for Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd
• Functioned as the MEP Engineer for the construction of Muhibbah Engineering Labour Camp worth QR 12
Million.
• To provide adequate facilities for an estimated amount of 1200 workers. These facilities include the plumbing
and drainage services, air conditioning services, fire fighting equipment and systems as well as electrical
services such as lighting and power.
• Coordinated with the sub contractors and consultants on the overall MEP design of the Labour camp to
accommodate such a large amount of workers.
• To oversee the overall construction of the Labour camp i.e. from the design process, evaluation until
the deployment of the facilities.
• To develop the working Method Statement for the facilities which will be used in order to facilitate the
construction of the camp.
NDIA CP 21 Catering Facility – Secondary Lay Down Area
Construction of the Secondary Lay Down Area offices for Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd
• Responsible on the design of the plumbing and sewerage systems to accommodate over 50 workers at one
time.
NDIA CP 21 Catering Facility – Portacabin Deployment
Installation of the portacabin facilities at OBI’s Main Office
• Functioned as the Engineer on Site during the installation of the portacabin facilities at OBI’s Main Office.
• Managed a crew of 8 workers during the works which included the excavation, cabling and commissioning of
the services for the portacabin facility as well as safety for the workers.
Mechanical Engineering – Final Year Project

• Studied the effects of external factors (temperature, speed, load and surface roughness) had on friction in
metals.
