1. Summary (Cover Letter)
On leaving School at fifteen I served in Her majesty’s Royal Navy from 1973 to 1977, on completion of my service in the Royal Navy I started my offshore career;
From 1978 to 1990 I have worked on short term contracts within the industry doing various job’s , theses jobs have included; general assistant to trade personnel within the construction industry, Roughneck, roustabout, Helideck and deck crew on production platforms, Helideck crew on accommodation vessels doing 20+ helicopter flights per day plus rigging assistants.
The remainder of my employment in the industry is as above.
2. Work Experience
Inter-services Aberdeen; June 2008
Employed on the K14C Gas platform as Helicopter Landing Officer on a two week short term contract in the NAM field Holland
Responsibilities
Aviation fuel housekeeping.
Passenger and freight movements.
Helideck crew emergency response training.
General maintenance of the helideck /emergency response equipment.
Upkeep of all Helideck related documentation.
ENI Gas BV Libyan Branch : October 2005 to January 2008
Employed on the Sabratha Platform as Aviation and Marine coordinator for ENI Gas BV, Libyan Branch.
Responsibilities
To co-ordinate and lead the multi national deck services team in completing the tasks below in a safe and professional manner;
The Implementation of policies and procedures.
Training of new employees.
Interfacing with subordinates, vendors and platform supervisors.
Daily correspondence with the onshore support team and senior platform staff.
Helicopter landing officer.
Work alongside local authorities; Customs-Immigration-Coastguard and Logistics.
Upkeep of all rigging equipment certification.
Lifting equipment control.
The upkeep of computerized information on Vessel movements / schedules and the coordination of Vessel to various harbours within the Mediterranean area.
Organize standby Vessels during Platform Emergency situations/drills.
Attend company meetings.
Permit’s-risk assessments- manual handling assessments and tool box talks.
Tasks

The safe storage of all chemicals and gases.
