I am applying for this position with complete confidence that I shall make a significant contribution to the operation of your company.

I am extremely knowledgeable as an Firefighter. Considering the amount of experience I have acquired I could serve you and your company well in several areas. I have been considered to be an effective communicator; capable of communicating with all levels of personnel and management. I am highly organized, trainable and adjust well to all types of environment and work well with other employees and in complete harmony with management.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

Brief Duties and Responsibilities:

 . Provided crash crew service for the airfield, where United Nations freight and passenger aircraft lands and takes off at all times. Provided fire-fighting services to housing units, warehouses, hangars, fuel farm, public works center, etc. Unless relieved of command by a superior officer, made decision as to the best methods of extinguishing the fire and saving lives. Supervised the laying of hose lines, direction of water streams, required pressure of streams, placing of ladders, ventilation of buildings, and placing of salvage covers. Directed the overhauling and cleaning up premises after the fire has been extinguished; supervised the return of all apparatus and equipment to the fire station.

 Supervised pre-fire planning to determine life safety problems in the buildings, , the location and distance to the hydrants, other water supplies available, standpipe and hose connections and locations, access to the building for fire apparatus and fire fighters, and other fire fighting obstacles or problems. Recorded all of these information and prepared diagram showing as much of the information as possible.

 Monitored time and attendance keeping and conducts daily quarter/muster of personnel. Routinely conducted inspection of personnel, equipment and facilities. Scheduled leaves, maintained discipline, recommended actions relative to discipline, promotion and transfer of subordinate personnel. Supervised daily preventive maintenance and inspection of all motorized fire fighting equipment assigned to station to ensure operational readiness.

 Responsible for keeping records, making reports and maintaining complete and comprehensive files pertinent to fire protection activities and for having the fire station log book properly and adequately kept. Reports included daily training reports, weekly inventory, weekly check-out sheet, vehicle discrepancy.

 Conduct training on all phases, elements and levels of crash/rescue, structural and forest fire fighting and fire protection. Classroom training were being conducted based on the established training program. References for training include Life Safety Codes, Fire Department Standard Operating Procedures, International Fire Service Training Manuals, local instruction and notices.

 Had supervisory responsibility over one Engine Company with 8 Firefighters. Reviewed work performance and provided evaluations.
Fire Department PAE Congo Mission

Brief Duties and Responsibilities:

 Drives and operates a mobile fire apparatus on all alarms when dispatched during 24- hour tour of duty. Responds to all crash, structural and/or forest fire alarms.
 Cleans and cares for the assigned fire apparatus to ensure operational readiness.


 Participates in the development of new and improved methods of fire fighting, disaster control, fire fighting personnel utilization and training. Conducts training on all phases of fire protection and fire prevention to ensure maximum utilization of manpower as needed in a Category 4 Airport facility.

 Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Firefighter/Operator. Operates one Engine Pumper and maintain the Apparatus, Equipment at all times.



2. FIREFIGHTER
Fire Department

Brief Duties and Responsibilities:

 Unreels and connects hose, lays hose lines, operates charged lines, assist in directing foam, carbon dioxide and water streams, set up and assist in operation of portable and stationary-type heavy stream and appliances, foam generators, et. Uses hand extinguishers and cutting tools. Makes forcible entry and rescues persons or assists in rescue operations during fires or emergencies. Ventilate building to remove heat, smoke and gases. Loads hose and equipment on truck after fire, checks operating condition of hose and equipments. Perform salvage operations, administers first aid.

 Conducts building inspections to discover and eliminate rubbish accumulations, checks sprinkler system visually to ascertain that suitable pressure is maintained and that access is not clogged by stored materials; checks exit doors to determine readiness for use; inspects places of public assembly for any obvious violations of good fire prevention practices and ensure that no immediate fire hazards exist.
 Stands by during hazardous operations such as transportation of gasoline, welding and burning operations, helo/aircraft landing/take off.

 Performs the duties and responsibilities of a rated Fire Lieutenant/Engineer. Operates a mobile fire apparatus on all alarms when dispatched during the 24-hour tour of duty. Responds to all crash, structural and/or shipboard fire alarms and all activations of installed fire protection and alarm system within response area.


 Stands on alarm watch on rotation basis.


1. Experience 1996 - 2001 Fire Suppresion : Actively participated in providing Basic Fire Fighting Lecture/Demonstration, Disaster Preparedness and Management, and Fire Rescue Demonstration for the following NGO-LGU-GO units:

Operator in the DRC. I’ve gained experience on fuelling, and de-fuelling of aircrafts. Standby during take-offs and landings of aircrafts. Training of national staff members. I was presently working as a Driver/Equipment Operator

(2001-2004)
I was also in East Timor for the United Nations Mission in East Timor, I’ve gained
Experience with Incoming and Outgoing Flights and refuelling and Defuelling of Aircrafts,training of internationals and local
Firefighters with in the mission.
