I have been working on large boats for the past 6 years. I started my time at sea as a processor on the 680 ft mother ship Ocean Phoenix. I am currently employed with Glacier Fish Company, on one of there long liners the Norton Sound. I am a processor/deckhand. I am a hard worker, willing to learn new things and easily adapts to them. I am very self motivated and never back down from challenging work. I have experience in dock work, tying and untying the boats, engine work and boat general deck work. I would be honored to be part of your company to gain further knowledge of boat work and hopefully expand my job opportunities with this company.

I work as a longline fisherman on a longliner boat named the Norton Sound. Duties include setting the gear, which I bate the hooks, tie the line to the anchor and bowie. When we bring up the gear I gaff the fish, bleed them, gut them, package them and stow the finish product. Also I have experience tying the lines up to the dock when we come into port which is in Dutch Harbor Alaska. The work consists of 16 hour days 7 days a week, for a period of 3 to 4 months in the Bering Sea.

I worked on a processing boat called the Ocean Phoenix. I worked in the freezer holds as a lead man. In the freezer holds I stacked boxes of surimi, roe and whole fish. Throughout the day I also moved and stacked sugar bags, liners and fiber (cardboard) bundles: worked with and operated conveyor belts, skate rollers and control panels.
