I started out in the oil industry working as a Senior Expediter for an off-shore drilling rig manufacturer, Field Sales for an oilfield supply house, and Production Expediter/Inventory Control Associate for a land rig manufacture while going to college. After I got out, I went to work with Arco Oil & Gas as a Sr. Inventory Associate and then later was promoted to a Sr. Material Supervisor at the Sheep Mountain CO2 Project in Colorado. I was responsible for purchasing and logistic for drilling and plant expansion. I was laid off with Arco during the down turn in the oil industry. I then got a position as Purchasing Manager for Weatherford – Highland Artificial Lift, at the time I working for them it was Highland Pump Company, a manufacture and distributor of down-hole pumps for production. I have spent the total 13 years in the industry attaining knowledge with drilling, productions, and manufacturing of oilfield supplies and equipment.

Perfect 10, North Little Rock, AR 4/2008- 9/2008
Senior Vice President – Supply Chain

Perfect 10 is a major distributor for DirecTV and HughesNet. They sale equipment and accessories to dealers and homes service providers (HSP’s) that install satellite systems to residential and commercial customers. Perfect 10 also markets own brand of accessories and coaxial cable under the register trade mark Perfect Vision which is subcontracted to manufactures in Asia and Europe. Responsible to maintain inventory levels, purchasing, logistics, and supply chain integrity for Domestic, European and Asian suppliers for five distribution warehouses plus all drop ships to North America, Canada, and Latin America. Perfect 10 is a private owned company with sales of $300M with an annual purchase of $180M. While working with Perfect 10 achievements include:

• Restructure department responsibilities to improve delivery times on items being purchased in China.
• Developed first company wide forecast for suppliers in China to reduce manufacturing lead time and cost by 4%.
• Worked with IS on a report to order material looking at a four quarter usage instead of four months.
• Reduced staff by 15% and improved department direction.

LM Glasfiber, Inc. Grand Forks, ND 3/2007-11/2007
Senior Manager Materials/Logistic Little Rock, AR 11/2007- 4/2008

LM Glasfiber is a manufacturer of blades for wind turbines and is the world’s leading supplier of these blades to the Wind Power industry. Responsibilities include: Purchasing, Planning/Scheduling, Inventory Control, Warehousing, Logistics, Yard, Production Support, and Shipping & Receiving functions. North Dakota Business Unit consisted of a team of three direct supervisors and forty two indirect, which consists of seven leads working four shifts. The plant produced about 1,900 blades for the year. Served as member of the Senior Management Team for the new plant start-up project in Little Rock, Arkansas. Achievements include:

• Negotiated pricing for office supplies which lead to a reduction in cost of 40%
• Worked with Engineers to get hoses used on the mold precut to save time and waste by 15%
• Improved internal audit and DNV (ISO) score to meet acceptable goals that were delegated by corporate
• Reduced consumable spend by 10% which was a reduction in operating cost of $600K per year
• Redesign warehouse layout to conform to OSHA regulations
• Designed material and stocking location mapping within warehouse for faster picking items for production
• Negotiated with suppliers to increase stocking levels at their location which minimized LM’s inventory holding cost by 20%
• Hired and trained team of seven at new Little Rock BU, which included two supervisors, one buyer, and five material associates
• Vital team member in setting up Global MRP/ERP system utilizing Corporate Axapta software
• Implemented a material process flow for items used in manufacturing to assure safety guidelines were being met
• Assisted newly hired senior managers on process that assured them with building a quality blade without cost over-runs

Senior Procurement Manager, Direct Sourcing

Manager of Direct Sourcing within the Procurement Department for a Gas Utility that services the Washington, DC area, Maryland, and northern Virginia. I have three direct, which two are supervisors, and eleven non-directs union members. Team was for the procurement of direct materials, warehousing, and inventory control, hauling, and receiving. The goals achieved were:

• Reduced inventory levels and increasing inventory turn 3X per year
• Restructured reorder points and reorder quantity to minimize inventory levels and increase terns
• Negotiated with pipe supplier to hold inventory and reduced inventory cost by $400K per year
• Renegotiation with suppliers to start stocking programs and sourced additional suppliers to increase competition reducing spend by $1.2M per year
• Worked with internal and external auditors with SOX compliance.

Analog Devices, Inc., Greensboro, NC 7/2000 – 10/2005
Senior Materials Manager

Hand’s on Manager for a world class manufacture of AC/DC converters and multi-chip products. Responsible for Purchasing, Planning/Scheduling, Warehouse, Inventory Control, Incoming Inspection, Logistics, and Shipping & Receiving. The department consisted of two supervisors, twenty-four nonexempt employees and nine exempt employees before reduction in labor in 2002. Control all material activity for three different strategies with all being built by sub-cons in Asia and UK.

• Vital part of the Management team that increased overall sales growth in FY2001 by 25% over previous year and increased new business sales by 135% which in turn gave us an overall 41% return on sales
• Improved on time delivery to Customer CRD from 72% to 95% and improve MPD from 85% to 98%
• Maintained a 98% accuracy of Sales Projects for monthly revenue over the past four years
• Leader in the transferring responsibility of a Division in Norwood, MA (ICI, IOS, DAP) to Greensboro, NC and Philippines
• Successfully installed MRP/ERP system with SAP. This was the first group to be operating 100% out of SAP within Analog
