I currently work at Autotec in Ayr, I have successfully completed a four-year apprenticeship in 2004 in mechanics, I aim to progress in my career and feel that this is the exciting new challenge that i am looking for.
I am committed to delivering both personal and business results married with workmanship of the highest standard. I possess good communication skills and can converse with people of all ages. I have always worked well on my own initiative and as part of a team, maintaining good working relationships with my colleagues.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
Within my current position my main daily duties include:
Repairing and servicing vehicles booked into the workshop.
Diagnosing faults on vehicles and performing numerous skilled maintenance and repair operations.
Carry out warranty repairs to manufacturer’s guidelines.
Referring to computer software and manuals for appropriate technical data to assist with repairs for example tightening torques, lubricants and capacities and wiring diagrams.
Stripping, fitting and replacing components on vehicles.
Perform mechanical repairs through proper and safe use of equipment, such as lifting and restraining devices, exhaust ventilation equipment and other related safety devices.
Dealing with customer queries.
Ensuring tight deadlines are met and that work carried out is of exceptional standard.
When carrying out a repair I am required to complete a job card and defect report for customer reference.
I am regularly involved in the training of apprentices allowing them to shadow my repairs and reviewing tasks that they may undertake as well as reporting their progress to management.
Ordering required parts to complete the repair in a given time frame demonstrating my exceptional organisational skills.

I enjoy meeting new people and the challenge of new skills. In my spare time I enjoy snowboarding and playing rugby and have been a committed and dedicated member of my local club for fourteen years training twice during the week and playing on a Saturday afternoon. I also enjoy relaxing with my fiancée and going for walks.
