I am graduate electrical engineer having total experience of about 21+ years. I worked in India as well as various gulf countries like Kuwait, Bahrain.

I worked in various organizations such as - Bahrain Petroleum Co., Indian Petrochemicals Ltd., Sohar Aluminum, Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C.(c). which is well known largest modern aluminium smelter in the world. I worked in its 2200MW combined cycle power plant for 5 years. Also I worked in its Line-5 project team in MRP & Maintenance Planning Departments.
I worked in 1200MW power plant owned by Ministry of Elect. & Water, Kuwait.
I worked in Refinery Green Field, Petrochemical, other chemical & process plants also.

My total experience is about 21 years which includes 8+ years in aluminium smelter, 10+ years in power generation plant, 6 years in refinery & petrochemical industry & 9 years in the gulf countries.

A. Sohar Aluminium, Oman
This is the world class first aluminium smelter opened in the country, Oman and possess
multicultural environment. I am working as Maintenance Planning and Reliability Engineer.
While in green field or start up phase, I was involved in ..
1. Development of maintenance strategies, maintenance planning, reliability engineering.
2. Setting up maintenance workshop facility.
3. Developing safe operating procedures, maintenance task lists.
4. Implementing and creation of master data from main functional location to spares parts
level with high quality standards for integrated software SAP.
5. Recruitment of technical manpower.
6. Carry out site inspections and witnessing mechanical & practical Completions.
7. Review and approve technical manuals submitted by vendors.
8. Develope lockout & tagging procedures for equipments.
9. As a team member to issue authorisation of permit systems.
10.I was involved in the plant commissioning activities. Perform on-site visits &
prepare punch lists and follow up.
11.Advising on spare parts and tools.
12.Recommending, developing maintenance contract services.
13.Administration of Documentation Management System.

B. Bahrain Petroleum Co. B.S.C.(C)-
This is a crude oil refinery producing 250000BPD located in country Bahrain. This refinery was
under expansion for LOW SULPHER DIESEL PLANT. I worked in plant electrical commissioning,
maintenance and shutdown maintenance activities on all type of electrical equipments.

C. Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C.© -
(25/07/1993 to 24/07/1998 & 17/10/2004 to 15/02/2007)
This is one of the largest modern aluminium smelter in the world. I worked as an electrical
Techn. Engineer in its 2200 MW combined cycle power plant (gas turbines) I carried out
preventive & breakdown maintenance & testing of following equipments with the help of team
of technicians & fitters. I came across following equipments -
1. 11 KV Generators rated up to 75 MVA (Brush, Toshiba, ABB make)
2. Transformers rated up to 132KV, 75 MVA (ABB, Pauwels make)
3. Generator excitation system, AVRs. (Brush, Toshiba, ABB make)
4. OLTC of transformers.
5. HV / LV induction motors rated up to 2 MW.
6. DC motors.
7. HV / LV switchgears – ABCB, VCB, SF6 CB, MOCB, isolators, Gas insulated Switchgears
etc. (ABB, NEI, EIB etc make)
8. UPS systems, Battery chargers (20 KVA Coredel, France make)
9. Mimic alarming system.
10. Rectiformers.
11. Diesel generator set (Black start).
12. Protection system (relays) of all above equipments. (ABB, GE, EE).
13. HRSG auxiliaries like motorized valves(Rotork, Auma, Autotork)
14. Trouble shooting of electronic equipments (up to PCB level fault finding)

As an electrical engineer, I carried out following duties…
1. To supervise annual maintenance works on above equipments.
2. To co-ordinate with planning, mechanical and instrumentation departments.
3. Testing, commissioning of above equipments.
4. To attend and rectify breakdowns.
5. To test protection relays, metering and trouble shoot any Problems in the protection
scheme. (O/C, E/F, NPS, Field Failure, Differential, rev. power etc.)
6. To carry out modifications in controls of equipments.
7. To prepare progress reports.
8. To obtain work permits from operation group.
9. To procure spare parts.
10. To write technical specifications.
11. To forecast man hours requirement for the maintenance task.
12. To update any modifications on the electrical drawings.
13. To update maintenance records in computers.
14. To ensure safety practices and quality in the maintenance task.
15. To train Bahraini nationals.

Worked as Electrical Engineer in its Line 5 project. I am performing following tasks –

1. Prepared maintenance task lists and allocation of man hours required for the tasks for new
Line 5 plants and made ready well within timeframe to upload in SAP- PM Module.
2. To inspect & prepare catalogue of incoming spare parts.
3. To amend / update details in the Material Master (in SAP MM Module)
4. To identify spares which can be locally fabricated / procured so that to reduce future delays and costs.
5. To identify the duplication of materials and to amalgamate them to reduce inventory.
6. To co-ordinate with warehouse as well as purchasing on various issues about inventory.
7. To prepare progress reports for the accounting Periods.

D. Deutsche Babcock Borsig Power, Kuwait –
(Ministry of Electricity & Water, Kuwait)
(21/03/2002 to 20/03/2003)
This is a multinational company engaged in maintenance of power plants in various countries.
I worked as an Electrical Engineer in its Kuwait contract for electrical maintenance of
1200 MW (8 x 150MW Toshiba make) Power plant & Desalination plant owned by Ministry of
Electricity & Water. The work includes electrical maintenance of various equipment in power plant
like - Generator transformers, motors, their protection system, switchgears (HV/MV/LV), and their
controls in a team environment. I worked as an electrical engineer. I performed following duties.
1. To prepare maintenance schedules.
2. To prepare overhauling / maintenance work procedures & ensure the follow up.
3. To obtain work permits from operation department.
4. To supervise maintenance activities on above mentioned equipment.
5. To prepare periodical progress reports of activities.
6. To attend regular meetings with seniors and follow up.
7. To update maintenance records in computer.
8. To ensure safety practices followed.
9. To carry out testing / pre commissioning of electrical equipments.
10. To ensure quality control (QA/QC). Prepare quality reports.
11. To update electrical drawings for any modifications carried out.

E. Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. –
(30/03/89 to 17/07/93)
This is world known petrochemical company as it was no. 1 petrochemical in the world during 1991.
I worked in its power plant as well as process plants. Its captive power plant has 3 gas + 1 steam TG
combined cycle power plant. The products are polypropylene, ethylene glycol, LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, N2O2 etc.
I joined this organization in its project stage and actively participated in testing, commissioning,
operation & maintenance of following equipments –

1. 11Kv, 25 MVA generators (AEG Kannis make), its excitation system.
2. 6.6 Kv Induction motors up to 5 MW. (Brush,UK make)
3. 11Kv, 10 MW synchronous motor.
4. HV transformers rated up to 5 MVA.
5. Protective relaying system of all above equipments (EE make)
6. Battery chargers & UPS system up to 60 KVA (Gutor, Switzerland).
7. Motorized valves (Rotork, Auma make)
8. LV / HV switchgears like ACB, MOCB, VCB, SF6 breakers. (L&T, Siemens, Brown Brovari etc. make)
9. VVVF drives up to 2 MW. (manufactured in Japan, W.Germany)
10. Plant communication system (Pnumann, W. Germany make).
11. Fire alarm system (EC, Matther Platt make)
12. Time to time modifications required by process department.
13. Trouble shooting of printed circuit electronic boards.
14. Trouble shooting of controls of above equipments.
As this is petrochemical company, I worked on increased safety equipments (flameproof enclosed switchgears)

It is large dairy project. I worked as an Electrical Engineer in this organization. My work experience
includes preventive & breakdown maintenance of plant machines and utilities.

(17/01/85 to 03/10/87)
I worked as an Electrical Engineer in its belting division where conveyor & Vee belts are produced
