The position directly impacts the bottom line of Leroy Somer North America (a Division of Emerson Electric Company) and is responsible to identify savings opportunities and business process improvement and render Purchasing Services through the following:

 Manage the eSourcing activities for Leroy Somer North America (a Division of Emerson Electric Company) to ensure uninterrupted supply at the best long term buy value; to obtain potential cost reductions, improve insights in the market’s offering, to strengthen the negotiations position of the company, improve performances and efficiency, improvement of the market position. The process involves supply positioning, supply vulnerability management, influencing the supply market, supplier partnering and make or buy decisions.
 Builds up knowledge database of the key performance indicators (KPI) of Direct Spend Materials thru the following analysis:
a) Best Cost Country Analysis, identifying business opportunities in the low cost countries identified;
b) Days Payable Outstanding Analysis, identifying opportunities for better payment term with the suppliers;
c) Inventory Turn-over & ABC Analysis, identifying the fast moving & slow moving commodities. Data is used in the divisions plan for inventory management.
d) Parts Analysis for E-Sourcing plan, identifying opportunities for eSourcing or Reverse Auction and commodities for Negotiation Plan;
e) Data Validation and Data Quality Analysis of the Material Information Network feeds to the system
 Supports Leroy Somer North America Logistics Team in their North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) compliance. The process involves communicating with the suppliers regarding compliance and creating database for the materials purchased by the company.
