1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and why I think I have the skills you seek for this role.
I have 20 years experience in working within the plant maintenance industry. This has seen me working in some of the most challenging environments in the world.
I am fully conversant with all aspects of plant maintenance, including mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrics, process and systems control. Working with two of the largest machine manufacturers in the world (Atlas Copco Compressors & Metso Mineral Rock Crushers) both commissioning and maintenance, has seen me develop skills which would suit any customer focused company.
I can deal with working from my own initiative (having been home based), to fitting in with large teams. Pressure systems have played a key role especially with Atlas Copco (systems up to 200Bar). Part of my job was to be involved with all aspects of pressure vessel inspection. This included standard air receivers to tube bundle coolers. Pipeline inspection and filtration systems also played a large part of the job. The ability to recognise faults within the systems and to offer solutions and quotes prior to any inspection was key. Any customer preferred to know prior to an inspection there was a problem, thus preventing costly downtime through system shutdowns because of inspection failures.
I hope this brief description along with my CV will give you enough information to secure the chance to discuss this role further.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.
