Responsibilities and Activities

1) Interaction and Co-ordination with other departments
Fabrication: Regularly interact with the yard production day-to-day activities and material
planning for the coming weeks.I must ensure that the job is never affected by the shortage of
materials,drawings and technical clarifications.

Project Management Team:Co-ordinate with Project Management team for Mechanical
completion Activities.

Quality Control:Need to co-ordinate with QC department for the JEIT,site inspections, punch list
clearance etc.

Procurement and Material co-ordination:Interact with procurement department regarding
material purchase, follow up etc.I also have to keep a track of status of material and ensure the
availability of materials for the fabrication yard.

Planning:Interact with Planning department for progress measurement activities.
HSE:Co-ordinate with the concerned HSE advisor for the preparation and closing of PTW. Many
of the pre commissioning tests need to be informed to the HSE advisor in advance, especially the
tests those create audible or visual alarms.

2) Progress measurements
It is my duty to make the progress measurement on weekly /monthly basis. It is to be done by
observing the actual progress at site and converting to percentage depending on the total volume of
work.

AFC estimation revisions:If any job that is not unexpected in nature is found to be not envisaged
in AFC and no man hours are allotted I have to make the AFC man hour estimation revision .

Revision Orders:If any unexpected job is to be carried out which does not fall in any of the
envisaged job scope, it is to be done under a Revision Order. It is my responsibility to raise a
Revision Order.

Regular reports and meetings:I have to attend regular meetings and have to submit regular reports
as instructed by Senior Operations engineer.

3) Documents to be prepared
Inspection and Test Records ( I TRs):I am responsible for making the Inspection and Test
Records. These reports are to be signed by the QC and the Client.

Task sheets:Need to prepare the task sheets for off shore activities. For the task sheet preparation,
need to assess the total volume of work and allot man hours by dividing them into the job sub
functions available for the particular project. I also need to know the standard unit man hours for
each sub function.

Work packs:I need to make the work packs for offshore activities. For the work pack preparation,
i need to assess the work in total, and present them in detail by describing all individual activities.
Some times a site survey is done before the work pack preparation.

As built drawings:I need to mark up all the site modifications done in the related drawings.Mark
up drawings must be given to the design & drafting personnel for making the as built drawing.

4) Offshore requirements
I need to visit offshore as and when required. I have undergone all the trainings needed for off shore jobs like
 Basic Fire fighting
 H2S training
 Personnel basket and Swinging rope transfer
 Sea survival
 Helicopter under water training

METROMAC AUTOMATION (U.A.E)

 Responsible for all E & I construction activities in the field. Instrument Calibration, Erection and Commissioning are my primary responsibilities. Electrical construction and detail engineering is also part of my responsibility.
 Work planning, execution and progress monitoring is also part of my responsibility in this project.
 Coordinate the field activities with supervision and client.
 Erection includes interpretation of Engineering drawings and location sporting of impulse taping. If any correction is required with the actual site conditions.
 This includes verification of all reports and other documents which are generated as part of the job.
GULF FARABI (SAUDI ARABIA)

Responsibilities and Activities

Duties involved monitoring of installation of all instruments on site. This involved instrument tubing, termination of cables, bench calibration of all instruments before installation.Co-ordinated for the material delivery at site on a daily basis, ensure that targeted progress is achieved on a weekly basis, ensure that all installation is carried out as per the drawings and specifications.

 Exposure in Yokogawa DCS ,Centum – CS 3000 R3.
 Experience working in Foundation Field Bus Technology.
 Experience in Saab Tank Gauging System.
 Duties involved inspection of all instruments on arrival at site prior to installation, check its operational conditions and make necessary reports.
 Co-ordination of various field works and control system check up.
 Good knowledge about P & I Diagrams, Instrument Loop Diagrams, Junction Box Diagrams and Hookup Drawings etc.
 Coordinating with other vendors/subcontractors during testing and loop checking of special instruments/package units, wherever signals to-from such equipment are interfaced to the DCS control system.
 To verify the “Final Inspection and Acceptance” area of the instrument installation form after all operations have been satisfactorily completed.
 To ensure that the quality of instruments and instrument system are installed in accordance with the design specification and requirements.
 Preparation of Request For Inspection sheets and System Packages for inspection.
 Inspection and testing of loops from field instrument to control room DCS signal working as per database. Check the alarm condition and status changing of digital and analog instruments.

 Daily analysis of alarms and critical parameter readings.
