A widely experienced Telecommunications Engineer/Supervisor. Extensive knowledge of communications varied systems including installation, maintenance and operation. Recent hands on experience of electrical installation, fault finding in a domestic and industrial environment. Took time out to go and travel around Europe
MAY 2007 – MARCH 2008 ELECTRICIANS MATE, MANCHESTER
Working alongside a qualified Electrician installing, testing and fault finding at Domestic and Industrial sites. Main working environment was in pubs and hotels
 Installing new circuits, re-wiring of old circuits and full refurbishments.
 Cable installation all types including SWA, CAT 5, and Fibre Optic.
 Testing and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems, CCTV and Pager systems.
 Testing in accordance with Part P legislation

OCT 2000 – APRIL 2007 TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER, BRITISH ARMY
Employed as a Radio Systems Engineer Maintaining and operating a wide variety of Radio and Satellite equipment. Responsibilities included setting up Networks for Voice, Data and I.T communications, this included working out frequencies and antenna propagation that were best dependant upon the time of day. Ensuring that day to day operation, maintenance and repair is carried out to reach maximum efficiency. Worked in a busy and stressful Headquarters during conflict ensuring that all communication links were working to there optimum. Constantly involved in the progressive training and supervision of sub ordinates.
JUNE 1998 – OCT 2000 ENGINEERING APPRENTICE,BRIDGWATER
Employed as an Apprentice at a Nuclear Power Station, learning the principles of engineering, AutoCAD, domestic and industrial wiring and electronics, pipe work and practical operation of CNC Lathes, Mills and Metal Work. Also learnt Welding and Fabrication. The second year was work based, carrying out fitters duties such as instrument checking and calibration, maintenance and servicing.
