CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Dear Human Resource Representative,
I am a 4th Year Mechanical Engineering student at University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. It is my pleasure to submit my resume appended with this letter for the position of entry level or experienced position for your esteemed organization. I am glad that these positions suit to my academic exposure gained during my course of studies leading to the degree of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Mechanical engineering August 2009. I was offered an Internship for a year at Syncrude research Centre in Edmonton, which delayed my Graduation by a year. It will be a great pleasure and pride for any person who wants to be an engineer to obtain a position in your esteemed organization. My academic and laboratory trainings at University of Windsor under some of the best known scholars of Mechanical engineering will give me strength to be a successful employee at your reputed organization.
My previous experience working for various organizations has helped develop communication and teamwork skills by having to act as a link between sales and labor staff, and coordinating efforts of others to complete projects in limited time constraints to meet customer demand. My last term at Syncrude Research Centre was an immense opportunity to put in my input into the oil sands industry. I worked on identification and qualification testing of materials for various wear applications throughout the plant by field measurement and computer based modeling, along with taking various research initiatives on improved and novel mining methods. I conducted research in areas of mining and extraction equipment, corrosion and corrosion testing, fitness for service evaluations/Non-destructive testing, designing, building and running of laboratory and pilot tests to investigate aspects of equipment or component operation/degree. My major project was developing a first for Syncrude, a Bluetooth Infra-red Data acquisition system that would collect real time data from the Hydrogen furnaces and help engineers and operators operate the furnace better by predicting failures in tubes before hand and savings hours of down-time due to un-scheduled shutdown. Along with my major project I worked on various minor projects, such as researching and finding the perfect overlay of tungsten carbide in combination with various matrixes, such as Delchrome 90, Nickel Chrome boron silicate, etc with various carbon steel coupons with the help of Plasma Transfer Arc welding. My work term at General Motors as a Production Supervisor helped me work on my ability to create a good atmosphere for my workers to work in and keeping good employee and manager relations, and helped my leadership skills mature along with my teamwork skills. My work as a Mechanical Designer and Controls Engineer at General Motors along with my position as a Production Supervisor established a solid multi-tasking personality in me. The improvements to design and new statistical procedures to reduce rejects on the assembly line created and implemented by me greatly increased the efficiency of the Assembly line. I have experience with working on various designing software's, failure analysis simulation software's and drafting programs. I am very adaptable to any situation. I have an appreciation for diversity. I have great interpersonal skills to match my computer programming capabilities.
I have used computers over the course of my entire education and I have become experienced in the use of computer aided drafting programs such as AutoCAD 2000-2004, CATIA V5, VisView Professional, Solids Works 3D, Pro-Engineer as well as word processors, spreadsheets, and databases. I have my driver’s license and my own automobile so I am flexible as to when and where I can work.
