A successful and consistent track record as a Senior & Lead Mechanical Technician with over 20 years experience of both on and offshore environments, including drilling rigs, platforms FPSOs, and ships in the mechanical, marine and oil production fields. Practical experience includes maintenance and overhaul of diesels, gas turbines, cranes, top drives, multi stage pumps, refrigeration compressors (centrifugal and reciprocating), high-speed centrifugal gas compression units, reciprocating gas compressors, high pressure vessels and equipment, steam boilers and associated equipment. Supervised teams on numerous projects, including work-overs and shut-downs. Planned and managed execution and teams for shut downs, major overhauls of offshore installations in the petro-chemical industry.

• Assist with safe and efficient functioning of the maintenance department, ensuring that all machinery, plant and systems are operated and maintained in a safe and productive condition in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitoring of machinery and plant to ensure safe and efficient operation and ensure a maximum availability at all times.
• Administration and managing mechanical maintenance team reporting to maintenance superintendent and co-ordinating schedules and maintenance programs with production and marine superintendents.
• Support for overseeing of maintenance regimes, safety aspects and emergency plant and equipment in accordance with the computerised maintenance management system.
• Efficient and economic use of spares and materials and administration of the maintenance management system.
• Act as issuing authority, isolating authority and area authority for all auspices of the maintenance department issuing all, relevant work permits and auditing of the permit to work system applicable to these areas as well as ensuring all regulations, safe working practises and procedures are adhered to.
• Deputise for maintenance superintendent as required.
• Compliance to corporate management system, operational safety case, review and development of operational procedures and manuals, policies and procedures and environmental management system.
• Performing all duties in a safe and responsible manner ensuring all personnel under the jurisdiction comply.
