| 1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
To Whom It May Concern. I’m a 45 years old Engineer from Norway currently employed for a well known and highly reputable Company in Norway working with construction of oil and gas offshore structures for delivery world wide. I work as a Fabrication Engineering Manager responsible for all fabrication engineering for one specific Project (among several at our yard). At our Company, fabrication engineering is handling of design drawings and specifications, preparation of technical query’s, method statements, 3D modelling, design of fabrication activities such as lifting and transport, design of grillage and sea fastening, MTO (material take off), shopdrawings, cutting sketches, input to plan for engineering activities, MC and Commissioning, communication and cooperation with Customers and Clients (both internal and external) and follow up Sub-Contractors. This role gives a very good understanding of the whole value chain for the Project from design development to Commissioning. My Company is well known for quality and delivery at schedule. I have worked for this Company for 18 years. As the market for the coming 1 – 2 years seems to be declining, I take this chance to try other possibilities abroad. Please see my CV for more details of my background as education, courses, personal qualities and experience.
