Weekly telephonic discussion with Landmark Program Manager to update the status of the development/testing works.
January 2004 – May 06
Company: Fugro
Designation: Geoscientist Consultant
Job Responsibilities:
Worked on well log data processing and interpretation projects using Geolog software for MNC companies. Responsible for the following assignments:
Worked as project consultant for well log data processing project, using Geolog software, which include Reservoir Parameters estimation using crossplot, clays typing, percentage of clay in shale estimation, shale volume calculation, porosity calculation, saturation calculation, Pay summaries spread sheet generation, Processed data QA plot generation with well complete well header information, export base data set, edited data set and processed data set to LAS and LIS format.
Worked as project consultant/quality controller for well log data processing/data management project (more than 200 well of Fahud and Yibal fields) for PDO, Oman, using Geolog software.
The scope of the project was to create the interpretation project and load well log data into Geolog, verify the consistency of digital well log data, update the well & log header, process/edit well log data, (performed the following steps in processing/editing: depth correlation, removal of casing shoe and tool pickup effect from the curves, SP curve normalization, rescaling, patching, synthetic curve generation, filtering, splicing in order to create the longest and best possible curves for full depth range of the well, de-spiking the sonic and density curves to remove anomalous values and borehole/environmental and invasion corrections on depth matched and spliced curves), made the processing/editing report for each well (shows the processing/editing details), create QC plot in CGM format which displays well header, log header (all holes including side tracks), raw data set, edited data set, spliced data set, borehole/environmental corrected data set, porosity and saturation curves down loaded from the PDO database – RUI, (if POR and Sh curves not available in PDO data base then we generated these curves (Performed the following step in Geolog to calculate the Phi and Sh: Phi curve calculated from porosity logs (Neutron/Density/Sonic) depends on the availability of curves in the well, Rw calculated from Pickett plot, and Sw calculated using Archie water saturation model in Geolog), and finally exported all data sets to LIS, LAS format.
Provided technical support to the team members.
