Dear Sir/Madam
I am a scaffolder currently working in New Zealand. I am currently looking for a position as a scaffolding Foreman/Supervisor. In such a role I would keep myself up to date with current working practice guide lines and constantly improve my skills as a good leader. I feel my ambitions in scaffolding have yet to be fulfilled and believe a position in your company may fulfil those ambitions. Although my experience is not extensive I am a highly motivated individual when concerning scaffolding and very ambitious to move on to bigger and better things. I am a single man with no dependants willing and ready to work anywhere in world at any given notice. I enclose my CV and I anticipate a swift response.

At present I am working on the regeneration of a crude boiler project at Marsden Point Oil Refinery, Northland, New Zealand.

Position: Scaffolding Supervisor/Charge Hand
My duties in these positions were to assist the area manager Christopher Wright in the day to day running of two large scale retail projects, Trinity Square shopping Complex, Nottingham and Westfield’s shopping Complex, Derby. This involved conducting tool box talks, safety walks, liaising with clients and other contractors, allocating work to the scaffolders and ultimately ensuring that the company and site health and safety policies were adhered to.
Self-Employed July 2005 – Jun 2008
Position: Sub-contractor/Leading Hand
For this period I sub-contracted myself to various companies in the midlands area as a leading hand. During this period I have been involved in many aspects of scaffolding, ranging from maintenance work for the car manufacturer Toyota at their Derbyshire plant, asbestos work in the Rolls Royce factory in Derby and a temporary roof structure over a mansion in Ashford in the Water, Derbys.

During this period I worked on various industrial sites for various companies up and down the UK being involved in maintenance and new build projects. Two of the main projects I was involved in for Vange Scaffolding & Engineering were the Clean Fuel Project, BP Oil Refinery Coryten, Essex and Spalding Gas Power Plant, Spalding. Other projects include Rugeley Power Station, Staffs, Ferry Bridge Power Station, Yorks, Drakelow Power Station, Staffs, High Marnom Power Station, Iron Bridge Power Station, Tilbury Power Station, Essex and Conoco Oil Refinery, Immingham. The main companies I worked for were Vange Scaffolding & Engineering, Essex, Cape Industrial Services, Yorks and Interserve Industrial Services, Staffs. I also had a period of employment working for Lange O’ Rourke on a major hospital development.

(Formerly of Burton-on-Trent - ceased trading)
Position: Scaffolder (Trainee to qualified)
During my time at this company I gained all qualifications in scaffolding up to the advanced level including health and safety training. Ninety percent of the work I carried out for this company was in the brewing industry at a number of sites all over the UK including Bass Brewery, now owned by Coors, Budweiser Brewery and Marston Brewery, Staffs. Some of the scaffolds I was regularly involved with were temporary roof structures for the re-insulation of vessels and heavy duty lifting rigs and platforms for various tasks through out the breweries. I was also involved in work for the National Grid nationwide whilst working for this company.
