Material Identifications, Verifications, Material testings of Incoming materials used for coal mills and boilers, coal handling plants etc. Ultrasonic Thickness measurements of Boiler tubes, erosion and corrosion monitoring. Dye penetrant testings, Hardness testings, Qualifying welders, Evaluations of Radiographs, Metallurgical testings and stage wise inspections, failure analysis etc.

· Evaluation of Radiographs as per Standards and cods.
· Qualifying welders, Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records etc as per cods.
· Dye-penetrant testing of weld joints.
· Ultrasonic thickness measurements, corrosion and erosion monitoring.
· Ultrasonic leak detection.
· Internal inspection of static equipments like Acid Storage tanks, columns pressure vessels etc.
· Vibrations measurements, including analysis and monitoring of rotating equipments.
· Spark testing / Holiday detection of lined tanks / pipings etc.
· Infra red temperature measurements of refractory and bearings to detect local hot spots.
· Hardness testing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

· ISO audit record keeping for QMS & EMS as per ISO: 9002 & ISO: 14001.
· Inspection of welded MS barrels. (210 ltr. Capacity received from vendors and being used as a packaging item) and vendor evaluations also.
· Correspondence, records, filing, data evaluations etc.

The duties listed above are not limited to but also include the following:

1. Product technical knowledge to support quality planning and inspection and test planning activities.
2. Quality systems knowledge to support the development and maintenance of the systems.
3. Problem solving skills to identify the root causes with the inspected equipment/vessel/component and suggest remedial measures.
4. Analysis skills to identify trends in KPI
5. Inter-personal skills to support negotiations with clients and company personnel on inspection, quality assurance, safety & environmental issues.
6. Identify, negotiate and agree QA requirements for assigned tasks with clients, contractors and internal departments.
7. Prepare and obtain approval of QA & ITP`s.
8. Represent QA throughout the entire task including interfacing with clients, certifying authorities(internal as well as external) third party inspection authorities and internal departments of the company so as to ensure that all agreed QA requirements are fulfilled.
9. Perform internal audits and monitor and report the status of the QA system to the higher authorities of the company.
10. Perform investigations into Quality non-conformances occurring in the inspection systems, products and thereof establish rot causes recommending corrective actions, PDCA cycle fulfillments.
11. Support and monitor continual improvement programmes, recommend and introduce improvements wherever felt desirable
12. Support HSE programmes of the company by utilizing specialist QA skills including auditing and analysis.

Technical) : BE (Met.) from MS University of Baroda securing 70.3% marks in May 1982.
(Professional): Qualified a course on Radiography, Safety aspects and NDT methods at Trichy conducted by BARC / BHEL.
Qualified a course on Ultrasonic Testing-Level-II as per ASNT TC-IA conducted by WRI / Trichy

Working knowledge of MS Office.
