CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Dear sirs,

I am a Superintendent / Master Mariner with technical experience for shipyards / drydocking.
I have experience managing ship's crew, which normally includes a team of welders for the "routine" repairs on board the ship and a team of blasters for (again) the "routine" maintenance.

Zodiac managed ships are normally repaired and maintained at sea, the "routine" repairs including large quantities of steel renewal, which is done after master's personal inspection of all the relevant compartments (cargo holds, ballast tanks, void spaces etc).

My shipyard experience includes coordinating a team of welders, which are working in addition to the shipyard repair teams (in order to save costs). All the shipyard works are done under my direct supervision, working side by side with the class surveyors.

I have 3 years Human Resources experience, having spent this time as Zodiac Representative Office Manager and in addition I spent 6 months as Dry Cargo Operator, in close connection with the brokers and the Legal Dept.

I am a problem solver, my 10 years with Zodiac being beneficial for my professional training, I am workaholic, enjoying hard physical work and working alone for many months, away from my family.

Working with multinational crews, in HR and lately in the Chinese shipyards, I learned to be a very good negotiator and how to get the best out of everyone, but in the same time to keep all parties happy, for a job well done. If you have a vacancy in the Technical Dept. for the position of superintendent, I can assure you that you will not regret having me in your team.
