As a Superintendent I am experienced in client liaison, interdepartmental liaison, running the ROV crew, co-ordinating and implementing work scope, producing work scope templates, liaising with shore side departments and ensuring the smooth operation of the ROV department.
My experience Supervising includes the mobilisation, commissioning of both work and observation class systems. Factory acceptance trials for Triton XLS, construction, survey, tie ins, pipe lay, drill/dive support, tooling intervention. Maintaining and repairing Hydraulic, electrical and fibre optic control systems.
During the past nine years I have become fully experienced in the integration and operation of a wide range of ancillary tools including TDU’s, pipe trackers, various zip pumps, AX ring deployment tools, cutters, grinders, specialised survey equipment, pipe line pull in tools.
At the present time I have over one thousand seven hundred days offshore and over two thousand hour’s piloting time logged, in addition to this I am fully competent in the maintenance and operation of both five function and seven function schilling T3, 4/Conan arms.


Work Experience
Currently
Superintendent on board the Skandi 7 ( for DOF Subsea). The work scope includes running XLX 7 and 8 which have been sub-contracted to Subsea 7 for a Shell contract in the North Sea.

Oct – Dec
Supervisor on board Northern Canyon (for Canyon) operating an XLS system in the GOM. Work scope included tooling intervention, mattress deployment, leak detection, CVI of subsea structures and control umbilical installation.

July - Oct
Superintendent - On board the Maersk Recorder for Fugro Singapore in China commissioning and laying umbilical.

March – June
Supervisor – On board the Fennica, operating Mohicans in a survey capacity, also mobilised and operated Triton XLX 16 for a pipe tracking operation

Jan – Feb 2008
Supervisor - Mobilising UHD 17 for Allseas onboard Manta 3 in Galveston Texas

Nov- Dec 2007
Onboard Maersk Reliance operating an MRV system, deep sea construction in the Egyptian fields

October 2007
Superintendent - Mobilised a Super Mohawk to replace the Seaeye Lynx on the Gulmar Condor. Laying spool pieces and operating in a dive support role.

September 2007
Supervisor - Seapup system in a dive support role for Fugro in Saudi.

May – August 2007
Supervisor - Seaeye lynx system on behalf of Superior offshore on board the Gulmar Condor working for BP wet storing spool pieces in Trinidad.

April 2007
Sub contracted to Mako technologies for Superior as a supervisor for a Seaeye falcon system working in the GOM doing survey and fixes for control umbilical tie ins.

March 2007
Supervising Triton12 and Triton1 for Dof subsea in Vietnam, laying suction anchors and mid water buoys.

November 2006 – January 2007
In November I accepted a position with Superior Diving Offshore as a Rov supervisor for their new Triton XLS systems. Initially this involved going to the Perry Slingsby factory for the FAT’s (factory acceptance trials) and subsequently mobilising and operating the systems in the GOM.

October 2006 – November 2006
Supervisor for Lamnalco Diving in Oman operating a Seaeye Falcon system conducting pipeline surveys in Muscat oil terminal harbour.

May 2006 – September 2006
Rov Shift supervisor operating Mohican and Comanche systems from the Toisa Proteus, this involved the co-ordination, operation and maintenance of both systems whilst conducting wellhead de-commissioning, dive support and debris removal from areas where platforms were toppled in the Gulf of Mexico.

April 2006 – May 2006
Sub engineer on board the Maersk Explorer in the Gulf of Mexico, operating a Triton XL working on the BP Thunderhorse project.

January 2006 – April 2006
From January I worked on the Siapem FDS in the Congo operating Innovator 3 taking part in pipe lay and construction. On leaving the FDS I went back to the Maersk Explorer in Turkmenistan.

JULY 2005 – December 2005
In July working from the Normand Cutter I partook in the Frigg de- commissioning, involving the integration and operation of both diamond wire and grit cutters with Innovator systems, this project was successfully completed in late September. Following which I went to the Maersk Explorer with MRV-1 for drilling operations in the Caspian Sea.

January 2005 - July 2005
In early February I worked on the Subsea 7 vessel Toisa Polaris with a Pioneer doing debris removal. This was followed by another period in Egypt working with MRV’s and TDU’s for well completion operations on the Scarabeo 6 and Attwood Hunter. In April I moved to the Normand Cutter with Innovator 2 tying in and laying jumpers on the Bahr Eslam and Kizumba projects.

September 2004 – December 2004
In September 2004 I moved to the Prestige deep-sea salvage project, operating Triton 28 on the Norwegian tanker Odin. This project involved recovering oil from the tanker Prestige that had sunk in the waters off Northern Spain and was resting at a depth of 3500 meters. On completion of the Prestige project I moved to the Egyptian fields operating MRV 8 from the Skandi Bergen. I utilised this time to significantly increase my knowledge of the MRV system.

February 19th 2002 – September 2004
On leaving Angola I worked exclusively on deep-sea construction vessels operating Hercules and Centurions, during this period I also gained a sound working knowledge of both the MRV and Pioneer systems. The area’s I worked in include Brazil (installation of suction anchors), Norway (survey, pipe lay), Africa (field development) and the North Sea (tie ins and construction). In May of 2003 I completed my Pilot technician’s competence scheme and was subsequently upgraded

May 16th 2001 - February 19th 2002
During this period I passed my trainee ROV pilot technician course at Subserv Ltd on Lake Windermere. After passing the course I was picked up by Halliburton Subsea (now Subsea 7) and was employed in drill support operations using both Pioneer HD and the Warrior 3 ROV systems. From November until February I was working on the Sedco 708 in the Kuito field taking part in field development operations using the Centurion and Super Scorpio systems

April 30th - 4 May 2001
Completed and passed a Fibre optic technician course at Plymouth College of further education.

February 1988 - May 2001
I joined the Royal Navy as an Electronic warfare operator, and over the years I progressed to an electronic warfare manager, this involves running a ten man team, and ensuring the team and equipment work in a way to provide the command with an accurate intelligence picture. Also I have held various instructional posts including the training of new recruits and the training of warships boats teams.
