To Whome it may Concern Subject: Looking for an Assistant Electrician Position I am 20 years of age and currently working as a self employed electrician in the UK. I have been subcontracting for the last seven months. I have no personal experience working offshore, but my father is an OIM with Transocean. Thus I have always been around the Industry and I understand and have the work and personal ethics & attributes needed to work in the Offshore Oil Drilling Industry. I would bring to the Offshore Oil Drilling Industry a broad range of skills, including: Ø  I work effectively within a team of people. Ø  I have the ability to cope with deadlines were multiple tasks and targets are needed. Ø  The ability to get on with other people to work effectively together and achieve targets. Ø  Taking responsibility for a group of people and managing their actions to achieve goals. Ø  And finally setting personal goals, planning and working towards that aim. Also I am familiar with the industry Permit to Work systems, knowledge of  Safety Managment Systems (SMS), SMS RED/ Critical Procedures & Maintenance Management System (MMS). I have organizing my BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training) for the 19th - 21st of  January 2009 at Blackpool & Fylde College & my UKOOA (United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association) Medical for the 22nd of January 2009. Irwin Electrical Services & HiSpecFX.I have been completing my advanced apprenticeship, were I   have worked in different sectors of the electrical industry such as domestic, commercial and light industrial. I have the responsibility of working alone were my responsibilities range from design, install, fault finding, testing & commissioning installations.   July 2007 - Jan 2008 Project managed a personal property restoration.  Restoration of a 3 bedroom derelict cottage. Were the property needed damp cause/proofing on ground floors and walls, new pitched roof, new plumbing and electrics ect. Jan 2007 - July 2007North Devon College – Full time Student Studying stage two of City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificates in Electrotechnical TechnologiesJuly 2006 - Jan 2007 Jubilee Pub, Woolacombe Full time bar man, were I had the responsibility for ordering stock, cashing up, ensuring that the premises was clean and ensuring health & safety and ensuring that no trouble arose. June 2005 - July 2006 Hale Electrical Contractors I completed stage one of the City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificates in Electrotechnical Technologies on day realise were I mainly worked on 400v 3 Phase distribution on a new caravan site development.March 2005 - June 2005 Parkwood Leisure – Ilfracombe Swimming Pool, Part time pool attendant at a busy leisure facility. June 2004 - Sept 2004 Tunnels BeachThis was a summer job were I had the responsibility of ensuring the facility was kept clean, stock was available to the  two shops on site.
