Volunteer Mechanical/Team Leader Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife (Hwange NP, Zimbabwe)
Worked as Volunteer in a Regional Workshop for National Parks of Zimbabwe. I was responsible for co-overseeing the rebuild, repair and maintenance of 14 government vehicles and 42 game water pumps. I was also tasked with job of creating a maintenance plan and securing the spares necessary for the vehicles to provide efficient, breakdown free operation. This was in the most challenging circumstances, forced to work with extremely few tools and spares.

Contracted To Bombardier as a vehicle builder to work on the HST Refreshment Program. Duties included strip-out, prepare and fit the interior cabins of long-haul passenger trains according to design drawings. This consisted of fitting and plumbing toilets and bathrooms, seating arrangements, tables, ceilings, wall panels, windows etc. This was working in teams of up to 12 people and often unsupervised.

Employed as the Engineer onboard a Supply Barge delivering equipment and supplies to isolated Iron Ore mine sites. Duties included start up, running and shutdown operations, maintenance and repairs to main propulsion engines; generators; air conditioning and refrigeration plants; auxiliary machinery and hydraulic systems. Carry out and oversee vessel mooring and refueling operations. Carry out cargo fuel bunkering and delivery. Assist in cargo loading and unloading crane operations.
