CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Citizenship: Swedish
Qualifies for: National Class II Certificate according to STCW-regulations

(Sweden and Panama); DP (Induction)

I am writing in hope that my suitability for employment within Your Company
might be considered. I would like to apply for the position of First/Second
Officer onboard one of the vessels within Your Company.

As You can see from my CV, I have gained valuable experience from working as
a professional Navy Officer as well as merchant fleet Officer on different
types of vessels in different trades, where Bridge Resource Management
practices and experience forwarding approach are well implemented. I have a
B.Sc. in Nautical Science degree (Kalmar Merchant Maritime Academy, Sweden)
and I qualify for the National Class II Certificate according to STCW
regulations (possession of certificates of Sweden and Panama), I have also
completed DP-Induction course and very much interested in developing
and applying my skills in this area.

My recent position was Second Officer onboard MV Superstar Virgo (‘Star
Cruises’, Malaysia), dealing with all demands of today’s reality: traffic,
authorities, schedule, security and all other issues professionally and
applying proper seamanship.

(note: position 2nd Officer acc. to Swedish classification, same as 1st Officer acc. to UK and Norway classification)

As regards to my previous work experience within the merchant fleet:
- Second Officer, MV Superstar Virgo, MV Megastar Aries and MV Wasa Queen
(‘Star Cruises’, Hong Kong & Malacca Strait, Pax, 2007/2008);
- Second Officer, MV Gotland and MV Visby (‘Destination Gotland’, Sweden,
Ro-Pax, 1.500 passengers, 29 knots, Sweden, 2005-2008);
- Second Officer, MV Sigyn (‘Destination Gotland’, Sweden, Lo-Lo/Ro-Ro,
nuclear waste management/transportation, Sweden, 2004-2005);
- and 12 month’s onboard training as a cadet on five different merchant
vessels prior the abovementioned (Ro-Pax, bulk carrier, Ro-Ro, Lo-Lo/Ro-Ro).

I have received flawless reports of conduct from all the vessels, both in
merchant and naval fleet. I have also received grants and certificates from
Kalmar Merchant Maritime Academy and Royal Swedish Naval Academy for the
performance and results achieved at the both academies. Written references
and copies of all certificates are available upon Your request.

I have been told that I am a very thorough person as regards work
assignments; I get the job done properly and in time. I consider myself to
be a relaxed yet attentive crewmember and I believe that I handle stressful
situations very well.

I would like to reiterate my great interest in working for Your organisation
and thank You for Your attention to my application. I will be available for
interview at any time.
