I am a British mechanic with over 16 years experience working on light and heavy wheeled and track vehicles and equipment; Including 5 years working contract maintenance with the US military in Germany, Kuwait and Iraq as a mechanic, site manager and quality controller.

I have excellent technical knowledge and managerial experience, as part of my role as site manager and quality controller I was responsible for over 100 mechanics on 3 worksites, 10-15 supply clerks, site health and safety, production and staff training.

I have also worked as Chief engineer for a luxury yacht charter fleet working out of Thailand in charge of 2 second engineer’s 55mtr yacht, 30mtr yacht and tenders x 7 responsible for all servicing, maintenance, repairs and upgrades.

M&E Group, 601st ASB Katterbach, Germany

Responsible for the service and repairs to a F.M.C. Standard –30 level maintenance and deadline parts replacement on 370 pieces of light and heavy wheeled vehicles, HMMWVs, 2.5 ton 5 ton trucks, HEMTTs and trailers just returned from 1year deployment in Iraq. Lead mechanic in charge of 3 separate worksites with over 15 mechanics and 3 ULLS clerks per site. Responsible for site health and safety issues and training.

Responsible for highest-level maintenance on heavy wheeled vehicles such as: Palletised Loading System (PLS), Heavy Equipment Transporters (HET), HEMTT (heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck), 5 Ton trucks, 2.5 Ton trucks, HMMWV (High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle). Tire shop operative stripping and rebuilding wheels and replacing tires on military equipment. Also deputy to lead mechanic, responsible for daily running of the section on leads absence.


HMEM/Lead mechanic November 2003 – March 2004
Roevin Overseas, 701st ASB, Kitzingen & 2143rd Orphan Maintenance, Manheim, Germany

Responsible for the service and repair on HET Systems and 5 Ton trucks to FMC standard prior to deployment to Iraq at 701st ASB kitzingen. Responsible for service and repair to 30 level for numerous units and lead mechanic in charge of 5 mechanics at 2143rd Manheim.


HMEM/Lead Mechanic May 2002 – November 2003
M&E Group, 201st FSB Vilsec, 1-6 FA Bamberg, 601st ASB Katterbach, Germany

Mechanic/lead in charge of 18- 50 mechanics and 3 ULLS clerks, responsible for the service and repair of light and heavy wheeled and tracked U.S. Military vehicles. Over 397 vehicles over a full service year completed within time restrictions and to FMC standard including depot level maintenance at 201st FSB Vilsec. Service and 30 level repair of tracked support and field artillery equipment including 3 weeks field training exercise maintenance at 1-6 FA Bamberg. Service and repair of 370 vehicles prior to deployment to Iraq.

Responsible for service and repairs on light and heavy goods vehicles including engine/transmission strip and rebuilds, complete overhauls, welding, fault finding/diagnostics, electrics, tire shop maintenance and ministry of transport inspections/tests. Ordering parts/stock, booking workshop time and man hours.

Responsible for repair service and dismantling of light and heavy goods vehicles. Major component diagnostics and interchanging between vehicles.
