DETAILS
When I participated to İgdas Company as a Project Manager I had long term study for new Pipeline SCADA and Automation Project. This project was the one of the most complex and largest Distributed Pipeline Control project in the world.It took 7 years to finish. Project size app. 45.000.000 USD and the pipeline system cost which is subject to control was 3 billion USD.With this project it was aimed to control İstanbul city (15 millions population and 5 million gas users) Pipeline Network in Real Time gather all necessary data to Control Center and do all necessary shutdown and applications to keep sytem in safe.We controlled 900 District Stations, 1600 Industrial Customer Stations, 450 Burried Valve Chambers,15 City Intake Stations, 50 Cathodic Control stations, 4 Odorisation Units, 3o Seismic Data Stations, 35 Mobile Systems, 115 Gas Leakage points, 4 Chromatograph Sites and 4.500.000 public users data

To meet these requirements I wrote 750 pages technical specifications and translated those to English.I found all possible companies and invited for the bid.I had always close contact with Purchasing Dept. for commercial issues.After 2.5 years we decided to work with US based Telvent Company (Formerly Metso Automation).
We preferred with IT Dept. UNIX as an Operating System and worked with IBM.With the contractor I installed UNIX based SCADA system, built necessary network equipments, Servers, Workstations, for Control Center.

In our system we used GPRS and RF Communication Network.We used SCADAPACK and Moscad RTU units, Flow Computers from several companies, SERC units, Fahlke Actuators, Honeywell Transmitters, YZ Odorisation Units, and Daniel Chromatographs.
I worked with 4 Engineers and 25 field and SCADA technicians depend to me during the project phases.To manage all technical works first I have been trained in several countries during 1 year. (USA, CANADA, ENGLAND, GERMANY, ITALY, SWEDEN, DENMARK, HOLLAND, SPAIN).After training period I trained all of my technical team for the project.
During the all project phases I managed field and SCADA teams. We created all necessary HMI pages, Database Design, Communication Protocols and Network Configurations, all hardware and software programming, system algorithms.
After completion of project with my project team I repaired system failures, made periodical maintenance during 1 year.

DETAILS: The project size is 986.000.000 USD.It was the one of the biggest Subway-Tramline project in Europe.The project was consisting of Construction work and Electrical work.I started as a responsible for all electrical works including Transformer Substations to feed tramline , all electronic devices controlling system power , RTU units, Compensation units and 3 different SCADA systems on Main Control Center.We controlled Dispatch Sytem, Tramline and Subway with SCADA units.I worked as Project Leader and I managed both field works and Software works during the SCADA. For this project I lead 50 peoples on site and on the Control Center.We installed all electrical systems for controlling the power, made site tests and we designed all necessary HMI pages, database systems , communication lines which is fibre optics, industrial protocols , UNIX and Windows based SCADA software.
