My experience in facilities maintenance spans over 15 years, with the large majority of my experience working in some of the world’s most advanced cleanrooms and GMP environments. The details of my responsibilities and accomplishments are outlined on my resume, below; what I would like to convey here are the underlying abilities indicated through my background, which includes being actively engaged, lead, or process owner for TPM, RCM and AME programs. In addition, I have taken these process improvements further and have driven DMIAC projects to yield Six Sigma results, as well as setup and own Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to yield improvements beyond TPM efforts through the use of JMP/Minitab, OSI Pi, and various CMMS systems.
My skills in managing union employees, experience working on EPA Project XL environmental systems, chemical systems, and large industrial facilities systems would be a great asset to your organization. In addition to the below cursory description of my skills and experience, I would like to add that at various companies, I have won awards for engineering designs that have remedied public relations issues, achieved safety awards for outstanding team results, developed multi-million dollar cost-savings initiatives, worked with government agencies regarding environmental issues, driven process across all sites in furtherance of the “Virtual Factory” philosophy, and have worked on and managed some of the largest and most complex facility systems in the world. Please note that my continuing education has allowed me one year of Contract Law, which would also be an asset to this position.
o Facility Management: Experience managing all MTA facilities for Bus Divisions throughout the L.A. metro area; including corporate building (high-rise), and multiple sites (technicians) for Intel Corp. Keen understanding of OSHA, NFPA 13, 70, 72E, and 101 codes as well as Reg. 4, FDA CFR 21, SCAQMD, and NEC.
o Mechanical systems: Boilers (up to 1000hp.), chillers (1100 ton), and pure water systems; MAH & RAH air handlers (ULPA & HEPA), exhaust systems, humidification systems, liquid ring vacuum pumps and high volume vacuum systems; acid scrubbers; VOC abatement systems; process water pumps, Liebert ECUs, HVAC and DX systems; CNG compressors and fuel delivery systems, automated shipping & receiving systems, and bus radio/video systems.
o I&C: Corporate owner for the Metasys BAS DDC system. This required the startup, commissioning, maintenance and continued support of the SCADA system, calibrations, and PID loop tuning. Played and active support role for the Allen Bradly/Cimplicity system for critical manufacturing areas.
o Contractor management: Corporate sponsor for multiple service contracts for Intel Corp. In addition, I also managed contractors for in-house projects such as for mechanical system upgrades/replacements, shutdowns, and complete building moves and demolition, as well as the public-private partnership for CNG operations. Managed Maintenance Planning & Scheduling. In addition, I have an advanced understanding/education of contract law (Common Law and UCC).
o Piping and Process: Steam, chilled water, UPW, IWS, WFI, Bulk Chem Delivery Systems (BCDS). Moreover, I am certified on orbital welding for high-purity process piping.
o Production equipment: Lyophilizers, laser printing, high-speed packaging, capping, and filling machines for injectable medicines; experience in softgel manufacturing and form/fill/seal packaging.
o CMMS and asset management: In my experience, I have played a role in developing an asset management strategy or have directly mapped and configured a CMMS system. This also includes the writing and schedule development for both equipment PMs and PdMs and the development of BOMs to support MRO for JDE, Maximo, and M3.
o Lead SPC efforts for process utilities and support equipment. Core team member or leader for TPM, RCM, Kaizens, process mapping, and the initiation of kanban systems. Active in driving 5S for shop and process areas; I am a Six Sigma Black Belt.

My work experience spans over 20 years with experience working on heavy equipment and fabrication, to facilities management in complex cleanroom environment. The experience consists of not only executing effective management techniques, but also being a mentor to supervisors and technicians.
In the pharmaceutical industry (30 months), I was involved in the management or design and operation of critical HVAC process, to plant utilities. I have initiated world class maintenances process and operation techniques. In addition, I developed and executed predictive maintenance programs. Developed budgets and equipment lifecycle reports that are used to determine future equipment needs/replacements/refurbishments (short and long-term strategic planning)..
In the public transportation sector (two years), I managed multiple trades at various facilities that directly impacted public operations and interfaced directly with City and County officials. I had received numerous awards for safety and had NOVs under my management. Managed multimillion dollar budget and effectively worked with public and internal officials to quantify additional resources and equipment upgrades and replacements (short and long-term strategic planning). Project Manager and system administrator for CMMS system for all facilities operations for the MTA, which not only required system expertise, but outstanding customer service abilities.
In semiconductor (nine years), I performed factory commissioning, routine maintenance and operation on HVAC, mechanical systems, control room operation, and system designs. In addition, led engineering staff and mechanical and utility staff in daily operations and project management. I was also trained in emergency response team and medical response team operations, advanced safety training, involved with performing JSA/JHA for job plans, and maintenance reliability.
