An experienced and qualified engineer who has proved his abilities in a wide range of high pressure environments in testing and demanding conditions. HM Forces Royal Navy Sept 2001 to Aug 2008
Holyhead Marine Services Aug 2008 to present
 Led a team of 5 personnel onboard a naval destroyer in tasks ranging from fire fighting to damage control
 Trained junior colleagues assisting in their own personal development to further their career opportunities.
 Deputised for management and prioritised tasks on a 24/7 basis, completing maintenance and fault diagnosis in order to meet tight deadlines.
 Identified, diagnosed and actioned rectification of highly technical and complicated electro mechanical equipment.
 Reported defects, ordering parts and ensuring repairs were completed by contractors, within the operational requirements of the ship.
 Worked alongside foreign nationals often in difficult communication situations achieving the end goal successfully.
 Acted as a safety supervisor for training serials including briefing and debriefing the personnel involved.
 Took local control of a naval destroyer’s propulsion system during numerous machinery breakdowns.
 A vital number in a team of 7 personnel in the safe operation of a multi million pound propulsion plant, including gas turbines, Paxman Ventura diesel and petrol engines, electrical generation and switch gear, air conditioning and refrigeration, fuel/oil/water/hydraulic and pressurised air systems and electronic and surveillance equipment in a wide range of conditions and training environments.
 Worked effectively in a close nit team to tight deadlines achieving good results with tough aims.

 A trusted team leader motivating and developing junior colleges through delegation and leading by example.
 Produced a daily usage/logistic form comprising of diesel fuel, aviation fuel, oil and fresh water usage to give command an accurate guide to the ships endurance and capability.
 Carried out internal security duties, including risk assessment and personnel documentation searches as armed upper deck sentry.
 Worked on main gate of a high security military establishment maintaining perimeter integrity.

 A vital member of the ships armed boarding party in the West Indies, taking part in numerous counter narcotic operations.
 Worked as a temporary fireman during the national fire strikes in 2002, based in Winchester as part of a 6 man team as the main hydrant and pump operator.
 Effectively supervised a team of up to 20 personnel in deep cleaning tasks ranging broadly from showers and bathrooms to active machinery spaces, obtaining high hygiene standards at all times.
 Working in Holyhead Boatyard as an Engineer Fitter working on the Royal Navy P2000 patrol boats and general yard maintenance.
 Working as part of a team in testing, assembling and disassembling BHP oil and gas lines.
 Controlled and supervised Health and Safety and COSHH issues and documentation.

 Completed the Royal Navy Fire Prevention and Fire fighting course at HMS Excellent approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency meeting the requirements laid down in STCW’95
 Completed the Royal Navy Personal Survival Techniques approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency meeting the requirements laid down in STCW’95
