1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
I attended Wyvern College until the age of 16 when I then went on to study Catering and Hospitality for 2 years at Salisbury College. Here I gained NVQ’s at levels 1 and 2.
While at college, I worked part time at Milford House Nursing Home as a trainee chef. When I had completed my course at college I started work full time. And have been doing so since 2003.
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
1999-2003: Milford House Nursing Home,
Main duties included assisting the head chef in the running and maintaining of the kitchen. Providing up to 70 residents with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Part way through my final year at Milford House, I applied for a chef job at Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club. My application was successful and I left Milford House on good terms.
2003-2004: Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club,
My duties for this position were working alongside 2 other chefs in the running of the kitchen. Many private functions were held at the golf club so food had to be prepared at high standards. Basic meals were also cooked for all staff members on site. Hours were not always guaranteed so was an unreliable source of income and found a job in the local paper. Once again, I left this position on good terms.
2004-2006: Salisbury Playhouse,
This next job I held for 2 years. Again, working in a kitchen cooking ala carte for customers coming to watch the evening performances. I enjoyed the first year of employment but hours were cut dramatically and I had to move on.
2006-: Officers Mess, HQ Land Command,
Started work for the Officers Mess in Wilton cooking for 50+ officers to a very high standard. I am currently still working here as there are many pluses to the job, i.e., the hours suit me very well, the rate of pay, excellent conditions and working with a fun and friendly team.
