I'm a experienced pipefitter who has worked in a number of environments including oil/gas offshore, petrochemical and rig/shipyards. I enjoy facing new challanges and working either as a member of a team or on my own.

Within my 9 years of experience i've been lucky enough to work on a number of different jobs and sites carrying out lots of duties including shutdown, maintenance, fabrication and pressure testing. Working on these contracts has allowed me to gain lots of experience in a wide range of materials ranging in size from 1/2" to 48" plus experience with all sorts of equipment and fittings.

PDMS From November to Present

Pipe Fitter- Whilst working for PDMS I have worked offshore carrying out maintenance and destruct working on a number of piping systems.


GLOBEL RESOURCES From May 2008 to November

Pipe Fitter – Whilst working for Global I worked with a number if companies including Wood Group, PSN and AMEC. Whilst working for these companies I have worked on Magnus, Bruce, Gannet and the Anasuria. Whilst working on these platforms I have carried out both maintenance and shutdown duties.


MOTHERWELL BRIDGE E/S From March 2008 to May 2008

Pipe Fitter- Whilst working for Motherwell Bridge I worked on a major shutdown on the Wilton site, carrying out the normal pipe fitting duties under some hazardous circumstances.

Pipe Fitter - I have worked in a number of environments within the petrochemical industry including Huntsman Tioxide, Cassel Works, T8 Wilton and PX Teesside Power Station. Whilst working in these environments I have developed my existing experience enormously in a number of complex tasks including pipe fabrication, installation, large projects, shut downs and demolition works, both working autonomously in addition to supervising on occasion. Materials I am particularly experienced working with include carbon steel and stainless steel, with pipe’s ranging from ˝ inch to 36 inches joined by a number of techniques including flanged, screwed, socket and butt weld.


Apprentice - I carried out all the duties listed above under supervision and in conjunction with ECITB under a Modern Apprenticeship programme studied at NETA Training College.

Before commencing employment with Aker Kvaerner, I gained work experience with a number of other contracting associations including AMEC, where I worked in a major construction project; and HarFab (Hartlepool Fabrication) undertaking the aforementioned duties. In addition, I also spent five weeks residential working in France, learning not only different methods and techniques of pipe fabrication, which included fabrication and installation of vessels and pipe work for the wine industry; and also in appreciating the differences in working in another country and appreciating those differences in culture and work ethic.

PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a highly motivated individual with strong team player skills and well-developed leadership/team motivation skills, coupled with the ability to work autonomously. I have a genuine interest in the planning aspects of day-to-day maintenance tasks that I currently undertake in my current post. I have recently had an insight of how planning fits into the overall functioning of the team and it is something I think I would be interested in pursuing in the future.

I've got a basic understanding of computers which i'm keen to improve.

I was lucky enough to experience 6 months in the planning office on a large chemical site in this time I planned and supervised a number of projects.
