Professionally qualified and highly experienced Construction Engineer offering 25 years experience in construction. Experience has covered buildings, earthwork, piling, concrete, water/sewer systems, underground facilities, pipelines, structural steel, onshore and offshore structures, equipment installation, quantity surveying, quality and cost control. Fully experienced in projects from initial drawings to the completion and commissioning.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

February 2008–Present. Company: “Technicas Reunidas”
Position: Area Construction Superintendent.
Project: Oil Refinery Plant in Khabarovsk, Russia (4.5 million ton oil products).
Responsibilities: Review and approve of the area construction safety, quality, organization and construction progress plans. Work with Construction Manager to ensure project is appropriately staff for the construction and regularly report to him on all project status. Monitor the performance of contractors during construction phase and meet with contractor management for discussion on project issues and status. Implement project safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives during the construction, commissioning and startup phases. Ensure required QA/QC systems are in place and that adequate staff are assigned to projects. Ensure construction lessons learned are documented and reported. Ensure safety, construction, commissioning, startup and handover to Operations and Maintenance plans and procedures are implemented. Ensure effective project closeout.

September 2006 - February 2008. Company: “Agip KCO”
Position: Construction Superintendent.
Projects: Oil and Gas Plants in Atyrau, Kazakhstan (50 million ton oil and 30 billion cubic meter gas/year). LNG Train in Balhaf, Yemen (45 billion cubic meter gas/year).
Responsibilities: Conduct Construction management functions. Review contract documentation, liaise with planning and budgeting engineers to establish and implement systems for the civil construction. Assess content of client/partner construction drawings and procedures in order that construction execution is optimized in the most cost effective and timely manner. Monitor the project technical progress and execution of the work to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards, contract documents, specifications, method statements, policies, quality and work procedures. Work closely with the Construction Manager to see that the project schedule requirements are met. Contribute to project technical records including preparation of minutes of meeting, changes in scope of work, and reasons for major assumptions, decisions and changes. Take part in commissioning of completed works

October 2001-September 2006. Company: “British Petroleum”
Position: Construction Manager.
Projects: Oil and Gas Terminals in Baku, Azerbaijan (40 million ton oil and 16 billion cubic meter gas/year).

Responsibilities: Responsible for all construction activities of the projects: safety, planning, execution, quality control, quantity surveying, timely completion and commissioning. Carry out regular safety inspections, study project contract documents and drawings, review and approve construction execution plan, work method statements, inspection and test plan, test results of construction materials (soil, aggregate, cement, concrete, reinforcement steel, structural steel, etc.) prior to start of construction activities. Supervise the works that they are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, procedures and schedules. Revise and confirm the quantities of performed works and reports of quality inspections and tests. Supervise the daily work schedule, manpower, machinery, materials, daily progress and next day planning. Conduct audits at Concrete and Asphalt Mixing Plants, Workshops and Material Warehouses. Supervision of the construction staff to ensure that they are competent for tasks set. Take part in commissioning of completed works.

January 2000–October 2001. Company: “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries”
Position: Construction Manager.
Project: Combined Cycle Power Plant in Baku, Azerbaijan (400 MW)
Responsibilities: Review and approve shop drawings, work method statements, inspection and test plan, concrete and asphalt mix designs, test results. Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials and equipment and report findings to Project Manager. Inspect the works to ensure compliance with the contract documents and approved shop drawings and method statements. Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed. Carry out quantity surveying, witness the quality inspection and tests, review and approve reports. Take part in preparing punches lists and commissioning of completed construction works and close out commissioning documentation. Carry out regular safety inspections in designated area in co-ordination with the safety officer. Supervise the daily work schedule, manpower, machinery and materials, daily progress and next day planning.

May 1996–January 2000. Company: “Azersu”
Position: Construction Manager.
Projects: Water and wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, Pipelines in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Responsibilities: Manage the execution of construction, commissioning and close-out of projects. Prepare technical documentation for Company tender documentation. Ensure that the necessary site supervisory staff is employed when required, and their duties and objectives clearly defined. Determine the Construction organization structure required to carry out the work including manpower planning. Maintain awareness and promote project goals in respect of quality, quantity, schedule, budget and technical integrity. Review engineering design packages for constructability issues and lessons learned, technical queries, field change requests and change orders. Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy. Co-ordinate the work and schedule between the parties involved.
