Be familiar with the approved Project Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Plans and client safety requirements.

Assisting Vessel Master and Construction Superintendent in the implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) related plans and programs following corporate and client approved HSE procedures.

Ensure that employees are given adequate Safety training and instruction prior to the work commencement.

Conduct daily HSE Monitoring on Board the Construction Barge. Correct any unsafe acts noticed at site. Enforced and ensure Safety Standards are followed and respected by all Crew.

Work in close cooperation and coordination with the Site Supervisors and Foremen in order to give immediate action to correct all unsafe practices and hazardous conditions that are reported.

Participate in accident investigation and reporting, and ensure that necessary corrective action is taken.

Assist Supervisor and Foremen in conducting daily Safety Toolbox Meeting. Conduct Weekly Safety Meeting to all Construction Crew on Board in coordination with the Construction Superintendent.

Conduct HSE In-house training, organize and train Emergency Response Team (ERT) for Oil Spill, Fire Fighting and Rescue.

Enforce Waste Management according to IMO standard, and prepare necessary documents required for Waste disposal onshore by the third party.

Conduct periodic inspection and inventory of Fighting (FiFi) equipment and Life Saving Appliances (LSA) on board. Maintain a library of records, reports, manuals and references pertaining to HSE either on Soft copy and Hard copy.
