Responsible for Main Contract and Sub Contract Administration controls and corporate reports. Specific emphasis on (i) Contract Administration Department restructuring to facilitate a more robust and contractually sound support service to project teams whilst maintaining in depth corporate monitoring and controls and (ii) resolving contractual disputes with clients and sub contactors to achieve amicable and financially sound close out to contracts avoiding the requirement for arbitration.

Commercial Manager – Caspian Region /Country Manager – Azerbaijan

Accountable for the business management of the Caspian unit from startup in 2004 to a current $20M turnover per annum and 200+ employees.

PSLES provided integrated services to all three of AIOC’s fabrication contractors for the 7 ACG and Shah Deniz platforms built between 2003 and 2007.

Secured single-source follow on work from both MCCI and ATA as a direct result of its performance on the ACG Phase II platforms (CA, WA, EA and CWP). Resolved outstanding commercial issues from the Phase II contracts to PSLES and client satisfaction. Subsequently developed, negotiated and implemented commercial model for integrated services contract with Technip for the Shah Deniz platform, delivering company’s profit expectations without a claim and completing works ahead of schedule.

For ACG Phase III platforms provided commercial response to ATA (AMEC Tekfen Azfen Consortium) for PCWU platform and negotiated single source award with managed risk and advantageous terms and conditions for PSLES. Provided commercial response to MCCI and also negotiated single source award for DUQ platform. Successfully avoided competitive bidding situation for both PCWU and DUQ platforms despite strong competition.

Secured BP Frame Agreement in 2006 for integrated services supporting AMEC (BP EMS contractor) for scheduled maintenance and modifications including 2006/7 shutdowns and BP for emergency/unplanned issues, both offshore and at Sangachal oil and gas terminal.

All projects to date completed with zero PSLES DAFWC cases.

Supported prime contractors (AMEC, MCCI, Technip) with monthly reporting to AIOC (BP) on cost, schedule and forecasting. Achieved excellent working relationships thus promoting an unusually strong team spirit between prime contractors and sub-contractor personnel at all levels.

 Responsible for Internal cost, profit and cash flow reporting and forecasting
 Preparation and submission to clients of projects cost and cash flow forecasting
 Relationship management with client contracts and commercial personnel to ensure effective and proactive change management
 Manage administration of the country office including responsibility for procurement, human resources, operations, quality and SHE, with 6 departmental direct reports.
 Ensuring company compliance with local (ever changing) legislation (taxation, social fund, licensing, industrial relations issues).

• Amec-Tekfen-Azfen – C&WP and PCWU platform for chemical cleaning, nitrogen / helium leak testing, flange management, hydrotesting, retrojetting, valve testing and camera inspection. Combined value USD15m
• BP – Frame Agreement Contract for Azerbaijan and Georgia for nitrogen / helium leak testing and flange management activities – onshore and offshore. USD 10M to date
• Technip – TPG500 platform for hot oil flushing, flange management, hydrotesting, retrojetting, valve testing and camera inspection.
• BP – TPG500 for nitrogen / helium leak testing.
• BOS Shelf – CA, WA, EA, C&WP, DUQ and PCWU jackets for riser pigging and hydrotesting.
• BP – Pigging operations and pig refurbishment at Sangachal Terminal.
• PFD Tengiz, Kazakhstan for nitrogen / helium leak testing and flange management.

Complex work scope combining traditional work methods and materials from 1900’s with modern materials and work practices. This three year contract was completed profitably and without QHSE incidents two months early.
