| 1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
I worked in the oil fields during the early 1980’s as a mud engineer for Magcobar. I was laid off solely due to the oil recession of the mid eighties and have a letter from my supervisor stating that he would not hesitate to rehire me because I exceeded expectations in doing my job. Then in 2008 I became a mud engineer again working for Baker Hughes and got laid off when the company reduced 1,500 employees at the end of January 2009. Prior to this I worked in healthcare IT as a project manager and am certified with the Project Management Institute with my PMP certification. This was obtained in 2004.
I do have work experience and used programmable calculators. I also graduated with honors from Southeastern Oklahoma Statue University with a degree in Chemistry. Later I received a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
Since the oil field I have worked in technical sales and most recently as a project manager in healthcare. I know your business and would welcome an opportunity to again enter the oil field or offshore rigs. This cover letter accompanies my resume. I look forward to talking with you and can start work as early as Feburary 15, 2009.
