CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
Dear Sir,
I would appreciate if you would consider my CV for the position in HSE Management.
I have been in the Engineering / Construction industry all my life, having climbed the ladder from an apprentice (5 year time served) Fitter/ Machinist, to Safety Manager for Andritz, a global corporation, for whom I worked for 10 years, during this time I travelled extensively.
Over the years, through hard work and determination, but still staying in the construction business, I studied further, and proudly attained a University Diploma + The South African National Diploma in Safety Management, (Equivalent to NEBOSH) along with numerous other certificates, (summary of accomplishments in CV) and now have 23 years of active service in Safety Management and Training
Added to this, my Technical Engineering certificates meet with the South African Government requirements to write the Engineering Ticket as a Competent Person.
My experience, both in Engineering and Safety Management consist of having worked in South Africa, our neighbouring states of Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, and Swaziland, as well as abroad in, Finland, and Mauritius, as well as twice in both Saudi Arabia and China. .
I am an accredited member of the South African Institute of Safety Management.
In May (2007), I underwent the compulsory occupational health medical examination. This was conducted by a Medical Doctor specialising in the now compulsory Occupational Medical Examination and entailed the following tests. E.C.G., Lung function test, Blood tests, Urine tests, Visual and Audio, as well as a thorough physical examination, and was certified with a clean bill of health.
.I am used to travelling to remote places all over the world, and have always managed to overcome any language barrier encountered.
With commitments and objectives in life, I am very serious about employment.
. Confident and feel I could make an important contribution to your organisation, and consider my experience to meet all your criteria for the position.
My emergency off shore survival certificate has expired, but this I could redo in Cape Town, South Africa, at an International Accredited Training Centre, should you so wish.
I am available at short notice.
