CV/Resume Details
1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

I’m 41 with sea experience since 1990, included 6,5 years as Chief Engineer and , from the beginning of 2005 have been employed as a Technical Superintendent based in Hamburg
and presently in Gdynia-Poland.

I am in charge of chemical tankers up to 20,000 DWT, and since beginning of 2008 when current company has expanded activities to the offshore business, I am responsible for seismic support vessel.
In previous company I was responsible for five vessels, bulk carrier type, size from 13,500 up to 74,000 DWT, two of them were a new building, first delivered mid of August 2005 from THI ( Tsuneishi Heavy Industry ) at Cebu –Philippines, and second, delivered May 2006 was a panamax size BC from Oshima.

Time of four years work as a Superintendent has given me a good lot of new experiences, that were in accordance with my expectation and notions about the range and scope of Technical Superintendent activities for different type of vessels.

To achieve high performance standards with good understanding of shipping industry needs, my former sea career, and experience were essential elements. Combined with technical education as a background, these contribute to a solid framework for my present work.

The fifteen years at sea and next four years ashore was a time of very intensive learning and widening my professional knowledge, but not technical only, I memorized how to deal with people and became more focusing and familiar to third parties requirements, safety and commercial aspects of marine industry.

Year by year accumulated experience, which on the beginning was just pure engineering wisdom, after time became much wider interest and extended to the management level.
I did not realize this at once, it took a years of sailing, dealing with technical matters like repairs, main overhauls of various kind of machinery, dry docking and emergency situation.
Gradually was increased my involvement in budgeting and planning, especially since carried on as C/E.

Through the foreign companies I have worked for, is an additional aspect of my evolution and gaining knowledge. I have worked with different management systems and faced their advantages and weaknesses.

As mentioned before I started as a Technical Superintendent four years ago, have found this occupation exactly as my expectation was, and certainly have enjoyed this job.
Although that is not very long time, I have gained large portion of skills and knowledge, very useful on this position, which will be also beneficial for further competence extension and improving of professional skills.

My willing and eagerness to continue work and develop professional career in challenging shipping industry is the main reason of my interest of your Company.

Especially as a former tanker man, I would like to continue professional course with a company involved in energy, petrol and gas business, to share and develop already amassed tanker experience.
