I am a mature, responsible and dependable engineer with over 20 years of experience within a maintenance engineering environment. I am seeking to expand and progress my career into the oil and gas industry. Over the years I have developed good organisational and supervisory skills, I am a proactive team player who fully understands the importance of teamwork. 2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
1979 to 1986, Swinney Engineering :- Served a four year apprenticeship and attended Ashington Technical college obtaining City and Guilds in Mechanical maintenance studies. Work responsibilities included but not limited to :- Manufacture of oil and gas industry parts
including water filtration skid platforms,inline
gas filters, pigs, pigtraps and associated
Hydrostatic pressure testing.
Maintenance of all equipment.
1986 to 1988, Amble Fishing Trawler :- Maintenance/Repair of hydraulics and towing equipment. Deckhand and fisherman duties.
1988 to present, Cheviot Foods Ltd :- Cheviot are frozen food manufacturers and have one of the largest cold storage facilities in the U.K. My responsibilities within this company are as follows but not limited to :-Planned maintenance using C.M.M.S.
Project and new build/installation.
Liasing with production to minimise downtime.
Machining, welding/fabrication for repairs or new build.
Lock off and work permits.
Producing and following up work orders.
Organising and performing overhauls.
Stock control and ordering spares.
1988 to 1991, Northumberland Fire and Rescue :- Whilst working full time at Cheviot Foods I also worked part time as a retained fire fighter. I was trained in fire and search/rescue and on call 24hrs to respond but sadly was forced to give this up due to home move, lived too far away from fire station.
