Perform field survey for new ship building in Korea shipyards.

1. Welding engineer: TOTAL AKPO FPSO topside structures and pipe line installation, offshore. I was involved survey construction of one FSPO in Hyundai heavy Ind Offshore Division;
- Review, witness and approve the WPS and repair procedure ( including mechanical tests, NDT) which was applied on this construction according with TOTAL specification, AWS D1.1., ASME IX, ASME B 31.1 and BV rules;
- Witness and issue the certificate for welder’s qualification (visual inspection, mechanical test and NDT review).
- Control the WPS applied in production, conform the all welders use in production are qualified, material traceability, identification of welding consumable used according with WPS, review the NDT report, witness to NDT ( UT, MPI, PT), pre-heating temperature.
- Survey the topside module for structure and piping installation, inspection for PFP, hydro-test and installation of piping (Jan 2007 – October 2007).

2. Welding inspector / Marine surveyor for commercial vessel
Projects involved:
- Container carrier (1700TEU, 5100 TEU, owner CMA-CGM), 22500cbm LPG (owner: Petredec), 173000 LNG (owner: MOL).
Position: team surveyor
Shipyard: Ulsan Heavy Industries Korea (October 2007 – march 2008).

- Container carrier 11000TEU for Conti/CMA-CGM (3 vessels). Shipyard: Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering. Vessels name: CMA-CGM Thalassa, CMA-CGM Hydra, CMA-CGM Musca (April 2008 – present).
Position: structural team leader

Main responsibilities and tasks
- Survey this type of new building according to BV rules and statutory requirement as SOLAS, Loadline, and MARPOL etc.
- Control the WPS applied in production, conform the all welders use in production are qualified, material traceability, identification of welding consumable used according with WPS, review the NDT report, witness to NDT ( UT, MPI, PT)
- review the construction DWG, NDT plans, tank test plans, visual inspection for welding, block assembly, pre-erection and erection inspection according with construction drawings
- Visual inspection of pipe lines and hydro-test according with approved procedures; final pipe line installation.
