Desire to Work in a multicultural Environment and to gain knowledge by imparting my role for constructive team effort for the benefit of the organization, I am interested in applying for the same. I have more than 12 years of diversified professional experience as Multi Functional Manager/ General Manager in Mechanical Field with an experience in Project Manager. Since year 2000 I am in the present job and was doing coordination logistic management & procurement management of special equipment which also includes special purpose vehicles 4x4, 6x6, 8x8, 10x8, 12x12 and Heavy Equipment Transporter which we bought for the transportation of 12x12 vehicles. I independently with my team involved in the selection and purchase of these vehicles and done inspection in OEM's Country. Then from Port to the Destination I supervised and monitored the loading from port to the site in Islamabad then delivery to the end users. This project of Special Equipment was single headed by me from 2001 to 2004 and was a multimillion Dollars Project. Then in 2005 I was engaged in the establishment of Gas Turbine Engine Project from ground zero till production and I did that and completed in the early first quarter of 2008. It was a Pre-fab structured building selected and ordered to M/S Zamil Steel KSA Middle East. I was named the Project Manager of the whole project looking after the procurement/selection of technical items, provision of technical support services to the workshop, Purchase/Install of HVAC equipment 46 wall mounted units and 05 package type units (Flame Proof), Purchase/Install/ Comm of Fire Detection System of the Building, Plumbing & Install of High Pressure Pumps, Construction of overhead Water Tank Capacity 80k Litres, Construction according to the layout drawing given by the OEM, Budgeting Control, Planning of job on weekly and monthly basis, Installation & Commissioning of machinery and then Assembly Production of Gas Turbine Engine besides Maintenance of Assembled Gas Turbine Engine if required after Testing. We have so far assembled 19 Gas Turbine Engines completely from CKD and packed for use by the end user. All these tasks/assignment required budgeting, planning coordination, Logistics and manpower management too and Managed by me. Currently Working in the same project as Deputy Project Director as a head of Assembly section Primarily and head of Facility (Secondary) and Dynamic Balancing Section of High Speed Rotating Equipment. I have Hands on experience in running MS Project, Office and AutoCAD with the knowledge of Primavera and C Language too. A brief Detail of my Experience is given in my CV. 1. Currently Working as General Manager (Tech) with a functional Post of Deputy Project Director in a R&D Organization since 2000.
Responsibilities Since 2000
i. Actively involved in coordinating the activities of Budget Preparations of our organization from 2001 to 2006 with the disbursement to different section of the organization for the development of the product. Monitored the budget distribution according to the annual plan.
ii. Coordinating the procurement & logistic management of equipment related to our department and monitoring the import items from Port to the destination.
iii. Assisting the Director of our department in preparation of contracts of different equipments (special vehicles to the static equipments) from Technical to Budget point of view.
iv. Handling the local contracts of Special Equipments by negotiating with the local suppliers.
v. Involved in Preparation & Negotiation of foreign contracts.
vi. Technical Coordination of Equipment Production Project from light to Heavy items including Special Purpose Vehicles (6x6, 8x8, 10x8, 12x12, Heavy Equipment Transporter 6 axles 24 wheels & flat bed trailer) and subsequently delivery to the end user within required time.
vii. Conducted and Participated a maintenance & Overhaul Training Program for Heavy Special Vehicles (12x12, 10x8, 8x8 & 6x6) for the end user. Also conducted pre-delivery Inspection & Testing at the OEM Site.
viii. Also actively involved in coordination and equipment placement and delivery for the IDEAS 2000 exhibition.
ix. Providing quarterly progress reports on the schedule of production and deliveries by preparing presentations.
x. Acted as Deputy Management Representative (DMR) for the implementation of ISO9001.
xi. Since 2005 Acted as an over all Team Head for the Construction/ Coordinating/Provision of Technical Support Services to be provided during construction phase/ Purchase of Pressure Vessels/ Air Compressors/ HVAC Equipment/ Technical Workshops Tools/ Receiving & Forwarding of the Equipment from the Airport and Port/ Installation & Commissioning of Gas Turbine Engine Assembly & Maintenance facility.
xii. Also Acting as a Head of Production Planning & Control Section. Planning the yearly Production of the Product on Microsoft project planner and implementing it on the shop floor level and monitoring the progress.
xiii. Verifying and removing the bottle necks (if any) during planning and production phase.
xiv. Managing the Production of Small Gas Turbine Engine Assembly thru CKD Kits with supervision of testing/balancing of High Speed Rotating Parts.
xv. Acting as an Incharge of HSE Related Activities Conducted HSE Internal Audits and monitoring the safety aspect of the workshop.
