I am an experienced and knowledgeable rig mechanic seeking employment in the offshore oil field.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

August 2008- October 2008 Whelan Petroleum – Rig Mechanic

Semi-submersible Transocean rig (Henry Goodrich).
Repair and maintain National HP400 Top Drive. Maintenance and repair of Wartzilla engines. Carry out mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, maintenance and repair. Perform daily inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment. Maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment i.e. prime movers, air and water system, lubrication and fuel system. Troubleshoot and repair faulty mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and tools. Identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions and/or patterns of equipment. Carry out periodic maintenance according to the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) guidelines and coordinate same with supervisors and other department heads. Comply with the permit to work and isolation system. Maintain service reports and advise supervisor on condition of equipment and spare parts requirements. Inform supervisor and other department heads of any technical problems or limitations that may affect the safe operation of the rig. Supervision of motormen. Also responsible for putting engines online and offline as required.



December 2006- August 2008 Noble International – Rig Mechanic

Duties include assembly and disassembly of rig;
Tripping in and out of hole; running casing;
Mixing mud; General labor duties.






September 2004-Jan/ 06 Cabot Ford, Shop Foreman and Technician
Duties include supervision, guidance and training of apprentice and journeyman technicians;
customer relations; maximize shop efficiency, productivity and quality workmanship; back-up dispatcher; staffing recommendations; inspection of work in progress, road test and spot check vehicles; ensure adequate shop supplies available; Maintained technician duties in addition to above.


April 2000-Sept 2004 Cabot Ford, Journeyman Technician
Duties include repair of transmissions, 6.0 and 7.3 turbo diesels; fuel injection repair; turbo chargers; charge air coolers; high pressure oil and fuel systems; transfer cases, engine repair, suspension, wheel alignments, brakes and suspension. Use of NGS
& WDS scanners. Extensive electrical diagnosis and testing with use of multimeter and wiring diagrams. Extensive warranty and recall work. Use of computer and related software.

Duties include wheel alignments, suspension,
