1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
Attached is a copy of my resume briefly outlining my background and qualifications for your consideration. I am seeking a challenging position of responsibility where my experience and abilities as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER can be effectively utilized in your company.
Over the years, I have gained experience working in: Project Management, when I was the director of a fusion between two industrial plants, where the greatest challenge was to reach the complete fusion without decreasing the production; Industrial Maintenance on which I was given the responsibility of managing the integrated plant (over 100 equipment and machines) on this occasion my team, and I, had to execute a preventive program designed by ourselves. This program helped to decrease the corrective maintenance by 15%; Engineering Design, where I had to design equipment such as pressure vessels and heat exchangers as well as calculating and selection of Rotating Machinery; Production at which I had under my control a productive line.
From those past experiences and education, I have acquired and developed both leadership and persuasive techniques that are needed to manage workers. Teamwork is another ability I have gained and one I know is necessary for organizational cohesiveness. I am a self-motivated, analytical and organized professional as well as troubleshooter. These skills have enabled me to effectively solve problem situations. Furthermore, I am very conscientious about meeting deadlines and completing tasks unsupervised. If I was given the opportunity to accomplish an assignment, I can develop a plan that will meet the needs and priorities of the project.
I believe that the combination of my industrial experience and education is well-suited to a company as yours. Moreover, I am confident that I can do a professional and productive job as a member of your staff if granted the opportunity. That is why I think we could both benefit from a meeting to talk about this opportunity in more detail. I do appreciate your time.
