I am seeking a new contract of employment as my current project end date is 12 March 2009. I live in Mosselbay South Africa and am working a 28/28 rotation in Kazakhstan.
I am currently a Tank Welding Inspector working for Worley Parsons. Worley Parsons is the Construction management team and Chevron is the client. The current project is the crude tank farm extension where we have built 1-off 50 000m^3 crude oil floating roof tank, 1-off 30000m^3 crude oil fixed roof tank and 2-off 4000m^3 fixed roof water tanks.
In as far as Quality control, Quality Assurance and welding go I have been working in three different countries and 4 types of disciplines. This experience has also helped understand the various cultures, language differences and I adapt very well to these changes.

I qualified in 1999 with a Welding fabrication Inspectors (South African Institute of welding) in Welding Inspector while working as an Nde Technician for an Inspection organization. I have also completed a Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Ashwood University in 2000. Since then I have always worked in management and supervision positions and tend to be more of a leader in all positions that I have worked.
I enjoy working under pressure with a challenge and constantly look for new challenges that keep me interested. I am definitely motivated by visual progress and thoroughly enjoy construction. I am not strictly looking for Inspection work as my experience also covers vessels, welding, piping, structural and general site integration of the various disciplines.
Hence my work experience covers all areas from Safety to Quality Control, Planning and Construction and I am confidant that I can manage new challenges in any Mechanical field.

Performing QA/QC inspections on all welding related activities in workshops, petrochemical plants, oil industry, etc. Qualification of PQRís, WPSís and welders tests. Statutory and mechanical inspections on vessels, equipment and storage tanks. Witnessing of pressure tests. Inspections on painting, insulation, piping and structural steel. Interpretation of radiographs. QCP Approvals and compiling of data packs. Controlling of final handovers to client (MC, RFC and RFO).Building repair and modification of new and used pressure vessels, Api tanks, boilers and piping components.

Worley Parsons (Kazakhstan).Welding Inspector(Tank)-Mechanical Supervisor Crude Tank Farm (Tengiz chever oil) Responsible for coaching, teaching and effective supervision of sub contractor personnel. Develops specific plans for daily work execution with sub contractor. Attends QA/QC meetings. Maintain contract with client and other construction disciplines to ensure there are no interface problems. Monitors and reports on daily basis to Qa/Qc Manager and lead planner as to sub contractorís progress. Responsible for ensuring erection contractor meets all general and site specific Safety requirements. Monitor the IFC drawings to ensure that the correct revision is used by sub contractor.
