For two and a half years I was the owner and ran a small courier business but after putting in my full time and attention the financial side did not bring what I was expecting, so I decided to stop trading.
I then took a job as a trainee lift engineer and still work there at present as an engineer/engineers mate but with no chance of progressing higher in the company I am therefore looking for other work and a challenge.
I feel that taking an employed job was the best option for myself and family thus providing a stable and more relaxed life.
My working life has been very diverse and through this I think I have the skills to cope with most situations and tasks.
I am very hard working and don't mind putting in that extra bit of effort to get the job done and hit deadlines.
I have managed staff and business matters with a professional manner.
Either alone or in a team I can take orders of instruction and advice from anyone and have always cared about my colleagues and the work I've done (safety/work and personal).
I feel I would be an asset to any company or organisation and given the chance the employer would be happy with my work and commitment.
My work at times has taken me away from home for long and short periods of time and I have no problems with this.
