 Monitoring and review of Contractor and sub-contractor(s)/sub-supplier(s) Work Scope and standards, and field detailed design drawings and documents.
Ensure EP standards, procedures and schedules are adhered to.
Resolve and respond to Technical Queries
Resolve and respond to site to site queries, and liaise with Design where necessary.
Responsible for field engineering and fabrication quality and adherence to standards.
 Accountable for all piping aspects of the work scope and schedule, including precommissioning activities..
Ensuring the Site is supplied with the correct drawings and materials, in sufficient time meet the Project schedule
 Interface with other departments within the EP Project as required, including support to the interface and change management procedures.
Review and respond to Technical Queries from Contractor.
 Assist in technical preparation of responses to variation proposal by Contractor.
Acting on Risk Register of points related to piping activities.
Monitoring and reporting on site activity progress.
Liaising with Precommissioning/Commissioning teams on Project Completion priorities and activities.
 Conduct inspections and render decisions based on applicable codes and specifications.
 Detect and locate mechanical defects, read and interpret construction and mechanical blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
 Monitor and supervision of the pre–fabrication of all spools from small bore to large bore in accordance with the requirements of drawings, specification and constructions guidelines.
 Responsible of all technical queries of the sub-con regarding the design and specification or any drawings discrepancy in the piping isometric design and make an immediate action.
 Evaluate and verify the progress billing that submitted by the sub-con.
 Responsible in monitoring the on hold, release drawing or revision isometric drawing from the client design department.
 Responsible for approval of spools released for blasting, painting, erection etc.
 Capable of handling the Isometric drawing, Piping Plan layout and P&IDs.
 Coordinates with the production supervisor for any piping related problems that advises during fabrication and erection.
 Ensure erection activities are done according to drawings and requirements.
 Manage and control work distribution among workforce, and ensure maximum productivity.
 Coordinate NDT activities with QC department.
 Prepare the field change notice for revised isometrics.
 Responsible for as built drawing and field instruction for piping work.
 Prepare the material take off based on the field requirement.
 Report resources requirement in timely manner, and ensure timely completion of scheduled activities
 Coordinate with the warehouse material controller regarding the availability of material.
 Coordinate with client for modification of drawings.
 Monitor the progress through the daily piping and welding report.
 Enforce safety requirements and participating in safety audits.
 Self motivated “can do” attitude with a strong desire to succeed.
 Able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with the staff at all levels.
 Strong personal computer skills with experience in the MS Office suite of applications and engineering applications such as AutoCAD.
 Familiar with ASME, ASTM and related specifications/codes.
