And have a vast experience with mechanical tasks and electronics as well. I hold a Certificate 5 in Electrical/electronics, Refrigeration and Training and Assessment.

Responsible for monitoring the operation of 5 X 5500 Vac at 60 Hz, 3.5 MW Diesel Alternators, One SEMT Pielstick Emergency Diesel Alternator, stepped down Transformers to 600, 440 and 220Vac and 4 X 5.5 Kv AC induction motors with steerable KORT nozzles and a Kamewa CPP system.

As a qualified Marine Technician specialising in electrical systems, I was entrusted the day-to-day operation, maintenance and management of all ship’s propulsion plant and auxiliary equipment.
Responsibilities included maintenance planning and scheduling, coordinating the implementation of routine and corrective maintenance programs, fault reporting, personnel administration, technical administration, workplace safety and compliance.
Led a team of maintenance professionals, including determining work priorities, setting goals, allocating resources, rostering staff, monitoring the completion of all work activities and preparing management reports.
Worked in the High Power Electrical Workshop on a daily basis, with significant exposure to electrical and electronic systems, including assessing, removing and replacing high pressure gauges.
